The course was great! I was reading the “Book on tax Strategies” prior to starting, so it really helped while watching the additional video content and attending the live Q&A. I was really able to take away a lot, and the concept of actually planning for taxes resonated with me ie. STR’s, Legal entity structures and REP status were the most impactful to me. I saved all docs and feverishly took notes, but I think for me as someone who has/had zero experience in “tax strategies” in a course with people who were more fluent and experienced it maybe discouraged me a bit from asking as many questions as I would have liked. Also retention; I constantly go back through my notes and the book to review certain items, so maybe if the course had more interactive (multiple question or Yes/No quizzes on PP slides) to promote retention it would help on a future iteration of the course. Actually speaking about it now – it could be cool to conduct an introductory course for the “green investor” vs “experienced investor’ and allowing each individual to select a course depending on how they would define themselves.
