I went to check in to my hotel at 7pm and the front desk informed me that the payment from snap travel had not gone through (my payment to snap travel had already been collected).
I called snap travel and a ticket was formed to their urgent care team. They said I could not cancel even though I couldn't checkin.
I called again at 8:30pm, 10pm, and 12:30 and eveytime I was told I could not cancel and that the urgent care team would contact me. Eveytime I asked them, should I keep waiting in my car? They said yes.
Urgent care finally called me at 12:35am that I was now able to check in.
Please avoid, this is straight up inhumane. If cant check in, they need to refund me asap. Instead they made me wait close to 6 hours in my car.
As others have said, it's some time of scam where they hope you get another hotel so they can pocket your money and not refund.
