The pictures of the hotel were not accurate! We booked the Microtel Inn & Suites By Wyndham Ft. Worth North/At Fossil Creek for 3 nights for $198. Seemed like a good deal and the hotel looked nice and clean in the pictures. We arrived at 2am & when we arrived there was loud drunk people in the parking lot. I go inside to check in and find another loud and drunk couple yelling at the receptionist complaining about tvs not working. When I provided my info to check in I was asked for more $ from the hotel for a deposit. Snap Travel said I wouldn't have to spend more $ because my stay was already paid for in advance. Fine, I paid it cash because it would be refunded at the time of checkout otherwise I would have to wait for the refund if I paid it with a card. I go back outside to go park and unpack and the parking lot didn't have enough lighting. We parked on the side of the hotel since there was an entrance there close to the elevators. As we are getting things out of the car I see a man who seemed drunk or on drugs approaching my kids and I. He sees my husband and walks past us. Then we proceed to walk to the door and guess what? Another drunk couple standing right in front of the door smoking and being loud. We get in the elevator the loud drunk man that was yelling at the receptionist gets in the elevator with us. As soon as the doors open in the second floor random doors start opening and females come out to the hall to see who's getting out of the elevator. I assume prostitutes maybe because of the way they were dressed. At this point I tell my kids to walk super fast next to me because all I wanted was to safely make it in the room. As we are walking down the hall looking for our room the loud drunk man is following us and when he sees we noticed him he turns back. We get in the room and lock the door and the room was horrible. It looked old and dirty. It smelled humid and it was a strong smell. The closet doors were broken (I took pictures) about to fall off. At this point my husband was furious and not having it he didn't want to spend the night there. He took the kids to the car and I asked for my deposit and I told them we had our kids and we didn't feel safe. They refunded my deposit and said they would refund Snap Travel and Snap Travel would refund me because we didn't stay. I contacted Snap Travel in the morning and was given the run around saying if the hotel said that then they should refund me. Snap Travel can keep the $200 because I will never do business with them again. Bottom line is they don't care about where you end up staying they are in the business of making money and that's all. They should include pictures of all the junkies and drunks outside and inside the hotel then you can decide whether you want to book or not after seeing the reality of what they're selling. In the end we stayed at the Tru by Hilton for the same price. This place was modern, clean and safe with security outside the hotel! Turns out you don't need Snap Travel to get a good deal
