i was very excited to buy and own this bag, i first bought it without any of the accessories. i liked the size and felt it was versatile and well made. then i decided to buy the packing cube. after the 2nd or 3rd trip, I realized that the loops where the spider net hooks latch were fraying. Soon after I started noticing that the elastic bands of the spider net were also deteriorating. Shortly after I realized that the back strap stitches were starting to slowly come undone. The bag was an investment for me, and so I always took very good care of it. Never overpacked, was careful when picking it up and putting it down etc. Though I had had the bag for 1 year, the damage started within a couple of months of my first use of the spider net. I wrote customer service explaining the situation. They ignored me for a couple of weeks. I wrote them a second time and then a third. Finally I received a response which seemed automated. I had to re-explain myself 2 or 3 times, as the customer service people were clearly not paying attention to the content of the message, one of them starting their email by saying that they were sorry I was having trouble with my shoes. Finally I received a dry 2 line response saying that I do not qualify for a warranty. The bag is a nice idea, badly executed. There is no reason for the spider net not to be more elastic. The kangaroo pouch does not fit shoes (but is a convenient extension for maybe more clothes). The materials are not durable. This bag should be priced at half the cost, like an Amazon essentials level, instead Tropicfeel are trying to play with the big boys like AER, Peak Design etc... But there is a reason why those other brands are confident enough to offer lifetime guarantees, whereas Tropicfeel claims to offer a 2 year one, but in fact will arbitrarily claim that you do not qualify for it when their materials fall apart. Their PR team works over time, framing the brand like it's a bunch of happy go lucky innovative designers obsessed with quality and travelling to sunny places...but their customer care team is a bunch of disgruntled inattentive paper pushers stuck in dark office somewhere. Save your money, or spend a little more and get yourself a quality bag that will actually last.
