“Communication with the company was difficult, and the overall quality of the products was poor. I purchased the Shelter backpack, the wardrobe, and the waterproof day pack — the latter only lasted two months. As for the backpack, it’s now gathering dust in my loft. ITS NOT EVEN WORTH TRYING TO SELL. I’m really disappointed. I expected quality based on their marketing and advertising, but it turned out to be all smoke and mirrors. DONT BE FOOLED. Switched to Osprey, let you know how it goes!”

“FAULTY DESIGN. DON’t BE FOOLED BY IT’S PRETTY DESIGN. I OWN THE TROPIC FEEL SHELL. I’M JUST BACK FROM 3 WEEKS IN JAPAN WITH THE PACK. 3 ISSUES. 1) YOU TOOK AWAY THE LARGER 2ND FRONT POCKET WHICH TRAVELERS REALLY NEED BECAUSE WE DON’T WANT TO OPEN THE BLACK HOLE SEARCHING FOR SNACKS AND THINGS WE NEED ON THE AIRPLANE, BIG MISTAKE TO TAKE AWAY THAT POCKET AND LEAVE US WITH A TINY ONE ON THE FLAP. 2) I OFTEN THINK I’M PUTTING SOMETHING INTO THE MAIN POCKET THRU THE TOP HOLE OF THE BAG AND THE ITEM GOES OUT THE FRONT FOLD BY ACCIDENT, ON MY LAST TRIP IT WAS MY CELL PHONE, THANK GOD SOMEONE FOUND IT ON THE FLOOR. 3) WHEN YOU BEND OVER, YOUR WATER BOTTLE FALLS OUT ONTO THE GROUND (THIS IS THE LESSOR OF THE 3 ISSUES). I WOULD GIVE THIS PACK 3 STARS GIVEN ALL THESE FUNCTIONALITY ISSUES THAT WERE NOT THOUGHT THROUGH. AS FOR LOOKS, IT’S REALLY COOL. BUT FUNCTIONALITY COMES FIRST WHEN YOU’RE ON A TRIP AND YOU CAN’T GET TO ITEMS YOU NEED.”

“The shell product advertised is much cheaper designed than expected. When I wanted to return it and give Tropicfeel a second chance by exchanging it with the more expensive shelter backpack because it seemed sturdier, they refused to take the backpack. Reason: the tags were removed. So keep your hands off this brand if you: 1. Look for high quality manufacturing (plastic hook on the wardrobe system?? Literally only a string as a waist belt?? Non adjustable shoe pocket??) for incredible 333 euros??? A huge joke and prove for a typical PR driven money machine 2. expect a customer friendly support (hundreds of apologies, return policies of iron)”

“I got the Hive backpack. It seems practical but the shoulder straps are so far apart that they only sit on the edges of my shoulders. There is also a significant gap on top of my shoulders and no adjustment in length fixes it. No where in the description of the product was it saying anything about the product only being suitable for men or that it requires a certain stature. Returns are not free so I will either be stuck with am expensive product that doesnt fit right or I waste money and return it. At this price point I would expect either a perfect fit or a disclaimer that you need to have certain measurements before you order.”
