What an incredible itinerary. We definitely covered a lot of what Japan has to offer: from the culture, history, beauty, wildlife, cuisine, and festivals to the modern urban bustle. The hotels were terrific, and for the most part, well located. The dinners were fabulous examples of Japanese cuisine. The only criticism I would have is that, they possibly tried to cram TOO MUCH into each day’s activities! I think maybe cutting out one venue on the multiples would have been better to just relax and spend a bit more time at each place. Like just a couple of hours to explore on your own, instead of rushing off to the next site. For instance would have loved to spend more time in Hakone shops (and probably more of a personal preference, but less at the Open Air Art Museum). And instead of racing through the Tsukiji Outer Market, let us go on our own afterwards. Your team should be especially proud of Maddy! She was fantastic and made our trip the best ever. Maddy expertly guided our group through every phase of our journey. She thoroughly provided us with local knowledge and general Japanese customs and expected behaviours, so as to not offend locals or embarrass ourselves. All the while, exhibiting an effervescent and friendly personality. Maddy most certainly went above and beyond. If there is any grade higher than A+, then Maddy definitely deserves such an outstanding ranking!
