We undertook a self guided tour of Japan with Unique Japan Tours. It was amazing. We gave them information regarding our standard hotel type as well as places we wanted to visit and some activities we would like to undertake. Everything we wanted to do was included. Everything happened exactly as it was planned and yet we had an amazing amount of freedom to do whatever we wanted, whether it was to visit the deer at Nara or the Snow Monkeys in Yamanouchi. The whole experience was so unique that it's really difficult to pick the best part. High on that list would be the Ryokan experience in all settings, Myojima island, Nara, Kyoto, walking on the Samurai trail and of course, Tokyo. We have been to many amazing places, but Japan is top of the list for a revisit if we get a chance.
