I hadn't realised how infamous Viagogo are but now I fully understand. For the past days I have been chasing tickets from Viagogo, phoning them increasingly regularly. The concert is planned to start in 28 hours time and no tickets.
It is clear to me that the culture of the company is one of lie, lie, lie. I do wonder if the agents actually understand how corrupt this business is. For example, I have had around 25 calls with the company, and on every occasion I have been urged to "stay on the line" to answer a customer survey regarding service quality. I have never had the opportunity to do so yet.
It is interesting to speculate how agents are remunerated - are they on commission, with bonuses for creative dissembling? I have to say one of the more plausible agents did suggest that despite the assertion that "calls may be monitored...…..", this is not the case.
It takes only a few minutes for customers to pen a review like this. I think that to do so is a valuable public service and intend to do so at my (considerable) leisure in the coming days and weeks.
I challenge anyone in Viagogo's senior management to contact me to discuss their shoddy business practices. As I said in my Trust Pilot review, you know how to contact me (depite claims to the contrary - check you outgoing emails). So do it, if you dare.
