My 1 year old dog got lost at Kurnell while being walked by someone who should not have been, and will never be walking her again. I came home to find her gone and after driving into Kurnell from Bankstown and running up and down desperately trying to find her, I began calling vets in the area hoping someone had found her and taken her in. To my enormous relief she had been taken to VSOS who took incredible care of her and navigated issues resulting from a miscommunication with the original owner regarding her transfer of ownership. VSOS kept me up to date throughout it all, working closely with the council to make sure I was given accurate advice, and were unbelievably compassionate and supportive. My little girl was treated with love and care and returned to me happy and healthy despite a very traumatic experience. Sutherland Council and the staff at the animal shelter in Taren Point were amazing. The people working with animals in this area are so helpful and compassionate. I cannot thank them, especially Chloe at Veterinary Specialists of Sydney enough.
