We ordered two Velux Windows with Recessed Tile Flashing kits. Initially the sales team were very helpful and organised for our order to be despatched in time to meet the needs of our building contractors. Unfortunately, the order arrived with only one flashing kit, from that point on the sales aftercare went downhill. There didn't seem to be any urgency to find out if the courier could find the missing part of the delivery, and were extremely unhelpful, they weren't able to send us an exact replacement and only had an 'old' flashing kit available, box was a bit battered and it had been hanging around for a bit but should be fine inside (their words). It took far too long for the replacement to be despatched / arrive, the contractor had already fitted the first window with the recessed fitting, time and the weather were against us, but Yard showed no care for our plight, nor the additional cost we were incurring due to their ineptitude. We weren't offered any compensation for the stress, inconvenience, additional cost or delay they caused, company policy is that they "don't give compensation". We recieved a refund for the difference in cost of the two flashing kits (£38.38), but the stress and anxiety caused was immeasurable.
I wouldn't say not to use this company, but I would say be very cautious, order your items well in advance to avoid last minute disasters like ours.
