“Fab customer experience We purchased our Velux skylight windows from Yard Direct when we build our extension a few years ago. When we went back with questions they were always willing to help us. We are so grateful that such a lovely company still exists in the uk. Some are just about taking your money We highly recommend yard direct and their great customer service Thank you”

“We ordered two Velux Windows with Recessed Tile Flashing kits. Initially the sales team were very helpful and organised for our order to be despatched in time to meet the needs of our building contractors. Unfortunately, the order arrived with only one flashing kit, from that point on the sales aftercare went downhill. There didn't seem to be any urgency to find out if the courier could find the missing part of the delivery, and were extremely unhelpful, they weren't able to send us an exact replacement and only had an 'old' flashing kit available, box was a bit battered and it had been hanging around for a bit but should be fine inside (their words). It took far too long for the replacement to be despatched / arrive, the contractor had already fitted the first window with the recessed fitting, time and the weather were against us, but Yard showed no care for our plight, nor the additional cost we were incurring due to their ineptitude. We weren't offered any compensation for the stress, inconvenience, additional cost or delay they caused, company policy is that they "don't give compensation". We recieved a refund for the difference in cost of the two flashing kits (£38.38), but the stress and anxiety caused was immeasurable. I wouldn't say not to use this company, but I would say be very cautious, order your items well in advance to avoid last minute disasters like ours.”

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, feedback is very valuable to us good or bad. I am disappointed to hear your experience with us was less than stellar. A possibility of what we think has happened here is the courier we use misrouted the original flashing on your order, which unfortunately as annoying as it is, this does happen on the odd occasion but it usually gets delivered eventually with a slight delay. This is not the experience we like to give to our customers and I do apologize if you felt like you weren't looked after properly from our team here at YARD, this isn't the norm and be assured this will be looked into. “Absolutely fantastic customer service. Everyone I spoke to was super helpful. I called for some advice and a price check and the information was sent over to me very quickly. I needed to change the delivery date due to my builders not being on site that day, this was not an issue. Slight problem my end when it came to delivering due to access, again no issue to sort out. Always someone at the end of the phone for help and support. I would absolutely recommend Yard Direct! Thank you!”

“Customer service here was excellent. The delivery company failed to deliver my window on the date arranged. (I was in all day) However the helpful staff managed to get next day delivery for the Saturday at no extra charge to me. It was only fair to give yard direct 5 stars! If I was reviewing the delivery company it would be very different.”

“I bought a new motor for a Velux solar powered window and they're not cheap. Yard Direct were the cheapest by some distance but this didn't detract from the service. Good communication and over delivered in terms of the initial delivery date. Would use them again (I have 5 other similar Velux windows!!)”
