Don’t know where to start I had an order that was expected to be delivered today I got a email to advise that the parcel was at the shop as I changed the delivery option. The email did not include a barcode for collection but when I tracked the parcel it was delivered at the shop at 09:51. I decided to go to the shop to make enquiries and the shop owner advised that she could not release the parcel without the barcode.
I then went on the Yodel app and the bot did not understand my question, the other option was to search and I found a option that stated my query ‘parcel delivered but no barcode’ the response from customer service was that I should go back to the shop and explain that Yodel did not give me a barcode and ask them to give me the parcel. I went back to the shop a second time and the shop owner advised that the process does not allow him to release the parcel to me even though I produced my ID.
Yodel then requested my email address to send me the barcode, I’m still waiting. Common sense would have been for them to contact the delivery driver and advised that the package cannot be delivered to the customer as the procedure that allows the customer to collect the parcel was incomplete. I’m hoping they send the information tomorrow so that I can collect my parcel.
