We've stayed at Dom Joao for 5 years now as part of our golf tour. It is a perfect base for us. The hotel facilities are great - beautiful gardens leading to a stunning beach.
The clientele is mostly over 60 when we go but that's OK. There's some lovely bars and restaurants up the road in Alvor.
