Stayed in one of the first floor rooms, which are compact, but everything you need. Reasonable shower, but no bath. Tea and coffee making and if standing at the window, you can see the 8th tee. The food was excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful.
A high handicapper, I found the course a challenge with some interesting holes offering the classic risk/reward choice. The greens and fairways were in good condition. Pace of play was reasonable, being about 4 hours. Mix of players from a large society, members and couples.
There are some slopes, but reasonable walking course.
