Contingency was made for damaging to packaing in that you had to advise delivery agent on acceptance.
There was no contingency for unpacking the pool to find it missing a part. One of twop reoaettes holding the pe together at either end was missing. The problem only solved by the fact that the previous pole was of the same specification and parts had been retained.
