Mixed result from this company which has now prefers to call itself lensology. I write on this site in particular because companies pay for accounts with review sites which allow them to denounce reviews as possible fakes and have them suspended, with the benefit to scores which can be well imagined. ReglazeMyGlasses are spammy and seem to send a marketing email every couple of days but they do take notice of your communication preferences when you get fed up of them. I sent an email asking about a brand of lenses not listed on their website and they were prepared to make them even with a free thinner lens upgrade. The person who I talked to on the phone was also perfectly sensible. So far so good. Tracking on the order wasn't so clever as it only told me on the same day a delivery was coming, with two hours notice. Where the whole thing fell down was on the quality of the reglazing. It looked like "my first reglazing" with little gaps of approaching a millimetre between the lens and the frame on both lenses. You'd think reglazing half rimmed glasses would not be that hard? On top of that, the axis of the astigmatic correction seemed imperfect. You can dial in the right lens numbers to the grinding machine but it doesn't seem to help much if you align the lens blank in the machine inaccurately. I was able to contrast the quality of the reglazing on another pair of frames done just before them with VisionExpress, who on the hand accomplished it perfectly. I did contact ReglazeMyGlasses and got an offer to redo the glasses but I never took them up on it. In the back of my mind was that they might break the frames altogether next time. The glasses were broadly effective and I must have saved half the high street price of premium photochromics. I think the experience was let down by inexperienced lab technicians. The sales staff did fine, the lab machines did fine, but let someone inexperienced loose on a pair of designer frames and the result can be a mess. I think that the best thing to do is to have your eye test done in the summer holidays at high street sellers when they are throwing half price offers on everything. Easier to chase them if unsatisfied.
