“Came with top cracked, was replaced but took another 4 weeks. As described quality poor but guess get what you pay for.”

Thank you for the review, we are sorry that the May chest of three drawers arrived with a damaged top. Occasionally, if an item has gone out of stock it can take longer than usual to get parts to customers. The May range is an affordable furniture range. “The shoe cabinet is very sturdy, sadly let down by poorly applied laminate ( bubbled inside the drawers, I can live with that). The top of the cabinet is only laminated on the top surface and the sides, where it overhangs the mdf is clearly visible on the underside. Assembly was an absolute nightmare with poorly executed pilot holes and cheap cams, I have no words to describe the instructions. Definitely not for a flat pack first timer and it needs three hands to affix the drop down shoe shelves which stay closed only by gravity. That said, the cabinet is very sturdy, the drawers useful and the shoe shelves adjustable and well able to accommodate man trainers. Fit for purpose once assembled.”

“Delivery was a day late and the bed has a much chunkier frame than depicted on the website. However, it was very easy to assemble, is extremely comfortable and so far, seems good quality.”

“A lot of pieces came with making this chest of drawers. Some of the nails could have had pre made starter holes for certain areas as some did not go in straight and have damaged the wood in some places.”

We are sorry to hear that you experienced a problem during assembly. We try to ensure all our furniture is as easy as possible to assemble. Very occasionally customers struggle with self-assembly. The Florence white bedroom furniture range is backed by a parts replacement service for the first 12 months should any problems arise.

“The chest of drawers was easy to make and the delivery time was good. However, the top has a make which is clearly visible... shame as other than that quite pleased.”

“When assembling the cabinet I found small damages in two parts - on the left main wall and on the upper door. They are both in the corners, look like done by delivery people when they are not much careful when handling boxes. The blemishes are not big, just two damaged corners some 10mm long each, but by Sod’s law after assemblage they both appeared on the front of the cabinet. I tried to repair one on the door with glue, but they both remain quite visible and make the whole piece of furniture not as pristine as a new one is expected to be. Not to look too finicky I decided to ignore this and just have it as it is, but of course I can’t say I am completely satisfied. This must not be a rare incident in your business, so if you know how to sort it out without much hassle I would appreciate it.”

“The build quality is of an acceptable standard athough the graphics in the advert are not a totally true representation of the finished article which is just bulk standard laminated chipboard. I lost count of the screws used to put it together the delivery men said it would take about 4 hours to erect I thought they were joking, "Some Chance" they were pretty accurate, definitely a two man job and if you are not putting it in a double bedroom you will be more than cramped for room during assembly so best of luck.”

Thank you for your review The Domino bunk beds are made from particleboard with maple/white effect foil and powder coated steel. Due to the design of the product and the shelving behind each bunk bed this item does take over three hours to build. As with most bunk beds this item does require two people to assemble it. The photograph is of the product.
