“Martin McIntosh - North Ace Pool & Snooker Ltd - BEWARE!!
We have had the misfortune of buying a pool table from Martin McIntosh - the table cost £1400 in December 2021. The guys is untrustworthy, having installed a damaged pool table and then never returning to rectify, despite promises to return. Martin continually avoided our communications, and never offered a refund, so we were left with no other choice but to take legal action. Martin dissolved his company, Ace Pool & Snooker Ltd, on the final date of the hearing. He didn’t even bother to respond to the court in defence of the case. Martin continues to trade, now working under the name of North Ace Pool & Snooker Ltd. I suspect there will be more cases of Martin scamming his customers. My strong advice is to avoid him and his new company (or any other company he is involved with) and instead, buy from a reputable firm run by honest individuals. The guy is a total fraud.”
“This is not a 'new' Company. There should be no excuses for delivering wrong sized and damaged items. McIntosh is happy to converse and take money but as soon as we contacted him re issues he has disappeared off the planet! We have involved Trading Standards and await info re claiming funds back. Please do not consider using this Company.”

“Worst experience with a “supplier” I have ever had.. communication non existent. Ordered a table in January 13th 2023, which had a delivery timescale of 2 to 4 weeks, then the invoice stated 4 to 6 weeks, which I was fine with, very talkative at the beginning until I had paid the deposit. the 4 to 6 weeks had passed and nothing from him even though I had been asking for dates quite a few times so I could make myself available. his van had broke down and he was playing catch up he eventually replied, ended up getting and date on the 4th March that he would be down my way between Wednesday and Friday that week, Friday came and nothing, no contact, nothing. So I contacted him as he was posting jobs offshore the days he was meant to be down with me.. (he apologised) said he was offshore, he said he would contact me with new date then never did, even though I had been messaging most days asking, he just ignored my messages .. so I had enough at this point and requested a refund on 16th March, to Which he said he’d check how much it was and get it back, 12 messages later and still no refund, he reads the message and doesn’t respond.. very frustrating. clearly there is many people in the same boat as me waiting for tables or refunds since last year it’s not on. I will be taking legal action, even if it isn’t a massive amount of money, it’s a fair amount to me. how he runs his business it’s not right that he gets away with it, I certainly won’t let it go. My advice is use someone else, someone reputable, that knows how to run a business.. this guy will take your money and run. DO NOT USE”
“Bought a table last August from Mad Mac pool services (now Ace) after lots of promises that it would be delivered before my sons birthday in December, we never received it, I’ve been promised a refund several times but that hasn’t happened either!

I'm writing this review so that no one else falls fowl of the scam he runs.
Back in August 2022, I paid in full for a custom made 7ft slate bed pool table and told delivery would be 2-4 weeks. As the room wasn't quite ready I gave him extra time and confirmed on 1st October we were ready for delivery. Many weeks passed without a confirmed delivery date but he gave excuses about van breakdowns, bad health etc. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. I finally heard from him promising "100% before the end of the year". Sure enough this came and went but again I hoped he was genuine so gave him a break. In January I told him I wanted it by 1st February, which again, came and went. Again, illness and van breakdowns were the supposed problem. I told him I'd bee taking things further if it wasn't delivered by the end of February. He agreed to deliver it by 27th the latest. Of course, this came and went and now there's no contact at all from him. I've learned that any negative comments on his Facebook page are immediately removed and the person blocked, so all looks fine. I've now started legal action against him in order to either get the table, or a full refund.”
