“Two years ago my frail 84 year old aunt showed me a letter she had received from an Investment Company that she knew nothing about and couldn't understand. With considerable embarrassment and shame she admitted that some years ago she had invested a substantial sum of money with a discredited and now disbarred IFA. She asked if I could find out about her investment. After a few vague, jargon laden and ultimately uninformative letters from this company, I realised I was way out of my depth. It didn't help that the IFA had kept all relevant financial documents so we had little hard evidence of her investment. I was sceptical about much of the financial service industry and in the absence of any documentary proof was dubious about a successful outcome. On the internet I found ACL Consultancy and chose them based on their client reviews. I needn't have worried. Cordula was friendly and understanding. She reviewed our scant documents, took a detailed history and declared herself quietly optimistic. Then with relentless and tenacious efficiency she set about interrogating a procession of dodgy, sometimes unregulated, self styled 'Investment Houses' and 'Financial Advisors' Cordula seems to be genuinely motivated by the injustice of financially vulnerable people being ripped off by these predatory sharks. Cordula and her friendly and efficient staff kept us fully informed of developments as she joyfully plumbed the murky depths of this international financial rabbit hole. Having compiled a comprehensive dossier of evidence against these companies she presented this to both the FOS and the FSCS. Last week my aunt was awarded the maximum payment of 85k which will make a huge difference to her quality of life. Very simply we could not have done this without Cordula and her team and we cannot recommend them highly enough.”

“My husband and I had made an investment using our personal pensions. To our horror, it all went terribly wrong and we lost all our money. Not knowing what to do or where to turn, we felt helpless. We knew there were companies who promote making a claim on your behalf, but we were always very unsure about them. However, after a considerable amount of time and research, we contacted ACL Consultancy. This was the best decision we ever made!!! Cordula was so friendly and so professional, she explained everything to us and always kept us up to date. Cordula worked so hard on our case, we even had several calls late into the evening due to her being so dedicated and committed to the case. “I had lost all my pension money to a sippy scam, and had very little hope of seeing any of my money ever again. I contacted ACL consultancy as a last hope, and although it took awhile I have just received my compensation. And myself and my wife are delighted with the outcome. “Once again, Cordula and her team have come up trumps in recovering my misappropriated pension fund. Without ACL I would be chasing shadows to try and find out what has happened to my investments and the thought of trying to do all the work they have done on my behalf makes me shudder. If you have any hesitation or scepticism about engaging this company to carry out any work for you in recovering funds or any similar claims, then take it from one who has massively benefitted from their expertise and hesitate no more! ACL are professional, non-intrusive, efficient, informative, knowledgable and above all, honest. They will do everything in their power to ensure the correct outcome from your potential claim. And the fees are very very reasonable in comparison to what a lot of their "peers" are trying to charge. Try them! Worked for me (twice....)!”

“I cannot recommend ACL highly enough. The work and dedication that Cordula puts into every claim is simply phenomenal. Although I didn't end up getting the result I wanted this was not due to ACL but rather the ridiculous decision from the FOS. I was advised by an IFA from a company called Pension Help Ltd, that it would be to my advantage to transfer my DB pensions into a SSAS pension. When I then lost 75% of my pension pot, Cordula took the case to the FOS, on the basis that the IFA gave me the wrong advise and should have told me it is not in my best interest to transfer. The FOS actually agreed that the IFA gave me the wrong advise, didn't explain to me why it would not be a good idea to transfer or give me the pro's and con's of transferring. I therefore thought I had a green light to pursue my claim against the IFA. However the FOS said although I was definitely given the wrong advice, I could not claim as they "felt" I would have transferred anyway. Why would I transfer my life's pension, if a financial expert gave me advice that it would be against my best interest. I transferred because they told me it was to my advantage. Myself, Cordula and another solicitor who looked at the FOS decision, are all completely at a loss as to how they can decide against my claim on a feeling, even though there are hard facts, in the form of a written report from the IFA, showing that I was given the wrong advise. The FOS also stated that this decision was final and that I could not appeal the decision. Absolutely unbelievable.”

“Cord is fantastic, prompt replies, great explanations. I was so distressed when I contacted her because I had no response of the Trustee SIPP my sister had left me after her death and as I am a French resident, I was even more worried. I have been trying for 5 months without success to have a response from them and as soon as Cord took care of my case I got contacted by the trustee in a week. I definitely recommend ACL highly . It is a pleasure to see people so professional and helpful, it is becoming rare nowadays. Thanks again 😊”

“We invested in Harlequin overseas property in June 2011 through our SSAS pension, hoping to get a better return on our retirement. In March 2013, things seemed to be going wrong at Harlequin. When we contacted our agents, they informed us not to worry; they would pull out our investment if they felt it was compromised. With many further calls to our agents, the advice was always the same: we presumed they acted with our interests in good faith. Reading press reports and updates, we got apprehensive about our investment as we could not afford to lose the funds. By May 2017, we had concluded that we had lost our invested money. We had a conversation with Cordula at ACL Consulting. As we remember, we were very Sceptical. Cordula says she will take our case on. Cordula informed us at the time that we were probably out of time. After gathering documents, she felt our case was good, and she would proceed. In September 2018, we lost our eldest daughter to terminal bowel cancer at the age of 40. It seemed everything was going wrong for us as a family, and we more or less gave up. Cordula kept working and was determined to sort this out. Then COVID came along, and things slowed down. We had many emails & calls from Cordula during the period, keeping us informed.. she is a Saint; how she did not throw in the towel, we don’t know. The FSCS was still adamant we had no case to answer, and the case was closed. Battling on Cordula became more determined, not letting go; in October 2023, We had a call from Cordula to keep us updated with progress. The FSCS had reopened our case for compensation with new evidence found. Some six years later, on 12th January 2024, My wife received a letter from FSCS. Compensation to be paid: by the 22nd of January 2024, I received a letter from FSCS that my compensation was also to be paid. The Moral of this story. Contact ACL Consulting, a very professional company that never gives up. Thank you, Cordula, for your diligent work ethic from both of us. Victor & Marion”

“in 2012 i was scammed out of pension savings.....told to invest in land in Florida. After years and years i heard nothing....so one day in feb 2019 i looked at acl consultancy reviews online....so i decided to phone them...best decision I've made ....cor was so passionate about the thing....getting money back for me.....i was ill with worry about the whole thing ....we had to put it on hold....because i was in a trust deed ..so that was 2 years later.....she has always updated when things were moving or not moving.....i came out of my trust deed in jun3 2023 ...and on jan 23rd 2024 i received all my money back a wee bit extra....at the beginning i wasn't all that confident i was going to get anything back...just about 5 years to the day i got 26.000 pounds back..so if anybody is reading this reviewed has been scammed out of pensions. Please get in touch with acl right away....i dont know how i can ever thank cord ....”

“Cordula has come up trumps again. In relation to the Rowanmoor debacle, ACL Consultancy Ltd helped my brother with his FSCS claim two years ago, when the maximum they could give him was paid out. In the last couple of weeks another claim with the FSCS has been paid out and that has made up the total of his pension that he at one time thought was lost. Thank you again, Cordula. “i had a a major problem with Portafina Financial in as much that all the investments they made for me became illiquid, having been in touch with them it became apparent i was getting nothing back other than misinformation so i then went through to the Financial Ombudsman who looked at the case but were not very helpful and because of this i decided i had to look for a reputable claims company and on checking through the internet i was fortunate to find ACL who had super reviews i was contacted by Cordula who i was really impressed with from the first conversation we had and although i was a little sceptic that the claim was running out of time Cord and her team were superb at putting all the information together and i was informed all the way through the process at where we were at which was really good until it was finally resolved which seemed a long time but Cord and her team cracked on tenaciously and got a result for which i am extremely grateful. i would recommend ACL to anyone who is looking for help on their claims because they really are a caring and helpful company who get results.”

“It would be beneficial for organizations to function with the same level of openness, reliability, and trust as the Investigative Recovery company does.. “ACL and Cordula are the best thing that has happened to me this year and I was so fortunate to have googled them choosing them above other Financial Claim companies. I really cannot praise Cordula and her team high enough. Please, please do not hesitate in contacting them if you've been scammed or lost your money in other ways and don't put things off like I did. The first time I spoke to Cordula she made me feel totally at ease, she listened to me and I felt as if she really put herself into my shoes. She totally understood the angst and upset I was going through at losing everything saying I wasn't alone and my story was similar to many others out there. I had been cold called by a representative from Consumer Money Matters just over twelve years ago giving details of The Resort Group and then invested in a SIPP through CIB which later became RealSipp and then Rowanmoor. I felt so stupid, ashamed and angry when I realised I'd been scammed and felt totally used as, not understanding the financial world they came from, I had put my trust in them. Why did I not do something earlier? To be honest I found everything so overwhelming that I buried my head in the sand for years, pretending it would all go away until I realised all of my money had gone and I was still liable for lifetime fees. About 18 months ago I went to an independent financial advisor who took a long time investigating the companies and then said it could take years to get my money which was not guaranteed. In April this year, 2023 I decided to try a claim company and found ACL who were so professional from the start. Cordula straight away explained the process of how the investments worked in terms that I understood and said she was optimistic I could get my money back and probably within the year. Her knowledge is second to none and I immediately knew then I wanted her to deal with the FCSC on my behalf. With ACL charging only 12.5% much lower than the 20 to 25% I'd seen with other firms it was a 'no brainer' and I did not hesitate to go with them. Just five months after contacting ACL I received the full amount of money I had put in plus the extra of what its value would be today. I wish there were more people in this world like Cordula who genuinely wants to help folk like myself who have been ripped off. She is so positive and you can hear the warmth, care and willingness in her voice to fight every inch of the way to help you. Once again a huge big thank you to everyone at ACL.”

“I cannot say how much I appreciate the help I received from ACL! Cord was amazing! After speaking to her about my Mum who had lost over £150k on an investment and that we felt we were at a loss as to whether it would ever be possible to gain any of that investment back Cord gave me her assurance that she would try her best. She had to put up with me getting extremely upset over the phone due to frustration and also to distress that my Mum who is at the start of Dementia would be left with nothing from this 'investment'. However Cord was successful in gaining about a third of what we thought Mum had lost forever, back!! She kept us updated along the way which was really helpful to see things moving forward. All I can say is....look no further, stop scouring the internet and give them a call. Cord was amazing, kind, sympathetic, professional and thorough. Thanks so much again!”

“I cannot praise ACL too highly. Cord is amazing. When I first spoke to her I was stressed, ashamed of myself for being conned and faced with losing my pension savings. It was hard to trust a stranger at the other end of the phone but I am so glad I did. She took on Insight who had persuaded me to invest in Cape Verde with the Resort Group and beat them! She won the case she put to the Ombudsman and kept on at Insight when they didn’t pay up. Eventually she threatened them with the bailiffs and I have received the full settlement. Cord understood the emotion involved as well as the financial loss and is always positive and resourceful. I am so grateful to ACL and so glad I trusted Cord.”
