If I could rate ADT as negative 100 stars I would. This is literally the worst company I have ever worked with. We have two houses with ADT alarms and on the two recent occasions (in the past 3 months) where we have had to get an engineer to come in as the alarm repeatedly kept ringing at 3am the response was appalling. It took them over 2 months to sort out the first occasion and we are still waiting for an engineer for the second occasion and it has already been over a week. You wait for hours on the phone to speak to someone who promises you someone will come and sort out the issue at a specific time. You wait inside all day and no one ever turns up. You call them and they say that the engineer cancelled (but they never bother to let you know). You book in again... they promise you the same again... no one turns up again. Only when you write in to complain do they give you a £30 voucher with M&S... what a total joke. I would NEVER recommend this company and as soon as we are in a position to change companies I will do so without hesitation. Anyone would be better than ADT.

Check your contracts this company forge your signatures on a legal document they call it adapting it its fraud now trading standards are looking into there working practices

After returning alarm system I was promised an Urgent Refund Return.... This has been going on since November. 40-50 min to get call answered. Promised to call back, promised refund will be next day.....nothing. They even had my name on invoice then further down page called me by another name. 1001123434

Booked engineer failed to arrive. Apparently none assigned to job even though booked weeks ago. This happened last year. Won’t be renewing, they don’t value loyal customers. Nightmare

ADT is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of being duped into using. They have very slick sales and marketing, but from the moment you sign up it is not downhill, but straight off a cliff and then repeatedly knocked about the head. It has been two years of incompetence at every level, with the initial install being messed up not once, not twice, not three, but four times, and then the system failed several times requiring visits from their ‘engineers’ (I put that term in brackets as they never seemed to know why they were at the job, or how to do what they were meant to do, and were on several occasions extremely unprofessional and aggressive) then I was repeatedly charged for install works that didn’t happen, as well as being charged for engineer callouts related to the system not working, and pursued aggressively for not paying these phantom bills which, incredibly, included an entire charge for the whole extra setup of another alarm system, that I do not have and definitely never ordered, as well as exterior visual alarms that were mever installed. The pursuit of these phantom bills went on for over a year and a half, and required several hours on the phone spread over several weeks to be resolved. Oh and they never, after so many visits, removed the previous alarm system, a service they promised me, which I paid for, which i was repeatedly told would happen every time an angineer would visit, but which each time the various visitors would tell me “no, iv not been told to do that” before proceeding to mess up my system further then leave (on most occasions). No one seems to know what is going on at the company, as none of the departments seem to be in any way synced, so every single person you speak to at any point, one needs to start from scratch, which means billing messups and any issue beyond the most extremely basic ones on their end can seem irresolvable. Staff are rude and nonchalant, and seem to be well aware of what a dysfunctional company they work for. I have had faults on my system the entire time we have had it, but I gave up trying to get them fixed because of the stress and time involved in getting any engineers around and fear of further phantom bills and the consequent months of stress, emails, phonecalls and their aggressive letters. At least the alarm turned on, so i left it at that! Anyway, the alarm now doesn’t work properly again, and after three days of trying to get an ADT engineer here, having been told two days ago they would arrive ‘in the next four hours’, which they never did, then told yesterday repeatedly they would arrive, which they never did, then the engineer arriving today six hours after their timeslot, and not fixing the alarm, I’m out. My only worry now is that I’ve heard ADT aggressively pursues ex customers for bills issued after they stopped being customers with as much zeal as they pursued me for their randomly generated phantom bills. A note that it seems they have paid to pack online review sites with fake positive reviews. You can always tell by seeing the large number of 1 star reviews that tend to be well explained and realistic, then the countless, slightly weird and banal five star reviews.

I was totally missold my policy by an inexperienced salesman. Given a second chance I would not have had an ADT alarm installed. The driving force of ADT seems to be how much money they can extort from you.

Since we returned to ADT, the company has not been able to provide a fit and functioning system which invalidates our insurance. If ADT checks their records, you will see the continuing complaints and error reports which are still not being resolved. My team and I have spent many hours on your service line waiting for your engineers to sort the issue out. When someone finally arrives, the system is restored temporarily, for the system to fail again after a few weeks. As you can see, we have not been able to use the alarm for the last few months and our insurance has now put an ultimatum to leave ADT and switch to another company whose system is reliable. Having discussed this issue with your competitors and other venue providers, we understand that ADT are in breach of your contractual terms and conditions, as you are not being able to maintain our alarm system inline with my insurance requirements, i.e. not fit for purpose.

Had are alarm since 2020.40pound start package then added indoor camera 126pound.now june 2022 I have cancelled contract do to cost keep going up was 34 pound then up to 40 then they reduced to 29.but on cancellation they have cut me phone app off so the camera I paid for no long er works in the house but the alarm still works.so if the camera dose no longer work because you have to pay for monitoring they should refund me as I paid for it to work with alarm not police monitoring .I was told by adt all added cameras etc would all work if I left adt.i am left with a camera now not working and only works on adt system feel ripped off by adt as I have been a loyal customer. Got charged 302 pounds for an engeneer visit that lasted 90 minutes and all he did was reconnect my cctv camera to my new modem. I was not informed that I will be charged by the customer service. The cameras are the worst ever the images are blurry. Worst ever service imagined. I cannot believe that I am stuck with these cin artist a multi billion pound company robbing people that tries to make a days wages. AVOID LIKE THE NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST WORST EVER COMPANY THAT EXISTS. DO NOT BE FOOLED.

Absolutely disgusting company. Sales rep Adam came and gave us a quote which we accepted straight away. Placed a deposit. Tried to get hold of Adam several times tel no 07860 031208 but he doesn't answer. Eventually got a date for installation, which after coordinating days off work + other trades (decorators) to follow afterwords ADT have cancelled the appointment. So I was left with no choice than to cancel the agreement......But still not got my deposit back.... Set of cheats and liars......

ADT have increased prices for CCTV and alarm with no warning. They will not provide a reconciliation to justify their increase. Installation has not even finished. Customer service is useless. Does anyone know who can I complain to as I don't think it is right I should have to pay the charges. Awful company.

Been with them for the past 10 years or so. Seen their services going down and it appears that they are not bothered. Been waiting for their engineer since morning but no contact. Based on my experience to-date and now I would say KEEP WELL CLEAR OF ADT in UK.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!! I was with them for over 4+ years. Had a panel issue at the start of Feb 2024. In the space of 27 days, I had 6 engineers booked in (as of which they all cancelled last minute with no explanation, and I only realised because I had to call the company). After weeks of back and forth, I decided to shut my account. I was emailed on the 27th Feb and told my account would be shut down and a refund of Feb would be given to me. We are now on the 19th March, and no refund has been provided. The alarm system started to make beeping noises today (after my contract has already ended). I called and asked if there was a way to stop this from happening. I was simply told that because I no longer pay for a contract, it wasn't their problem and I had to contact a different electrician in the area. Needless to say, the panel had been dismantled. Do NOT touch this company.

Absolute useless company, was transferred from Protect my property, without choice I might add. Phoned them numerous times cause they cant even get information correct and been kept on hold for over an hour to talk to someone. I hope your quicker at answering alarms

The first time the engineer came, he didn't even install the equipment properly. My shop is very small, so it's only an hour's job. However, the engineer spent the whole day on the phone outside the shop and kept on delaying the installation of this equipment. As I said, he didn't even install anything properly, despite the fact that he spent the whole day doing this. The control panel was incredibly difficult to access and the system hasn't even worked properly since the first day, with also the sensor dropping from the fitting. I reported this to ADT and, without my consent and without even asking me, ADT sent an engineer to my shop, not even informing me that this appointment was chargeable. If I knew this appointment would have been chargeable, I wouldn't have accepted this. This engineer was only in the shop for 5 minutes (not 44 minutes as stated in the attachment), so how is it justified that I am charged £883 for this? If you don't reverse this charge, I will cancel this contract with immediate effect, cancel my domestic ADT contract and remove all ADT devices from my premises. This is completely unacceptable and I am angered by this, so please sort this out. Note: I was supposed to take the contract for my shop at the end of January 2024, but your sales rep pushed me to sign in December, telling me the prices were rapidly going up.

Literally the worst customer service ever. I have waited months for an engineer visit to come and fix my doorbell and despite all sorts of cancellations, confusions about when they were scheduled to visit, which number they were supposed to call, a complete lack of communication about appointments by emails or texts, I am still waiting for a new doorbell to arrive despite repeatedly making myself available to stay home to collect the delivery! I had hoped to give 0 stars!

We were transferred from Protect My Property so had no choice but to join ADT. So far, I've had three cancellations on the trot where Engineers are delayed or off sick. On all occasions, I've had to call ADT to find out where the engineer is -- they never call to update you. I need my alarm fixed and without the repair it won't work so all that time I am exposing my property to a risk of burglary etc. Really bad company

I reported a communications fault with the Smart system on Friday to say the system wasn't connecting to their monitoring centre, the earliest appointment I was given was for the following Friday in the morning. The engineer never arrived and despite several calls I found out he had gone home. I re-booked for the Monday morning and the engineer didn't turn up. ADT do not have the common decency to call to advise, they don't return calls, they leave messages with their engineers because they don't answer the phone and the engineer doesn't call to give an update. ADT customer service is appalling.

Shocking service. Received a letter advising our alarm system is due for a regular service, link to the online system takes to a booking system which advises the system can’t take bookings, when phoning promised a phone call to arrange a booking which doesn’t happen. Extremely poor service!!

1001113434 Since posting my review I've had more promises to sort out my refund but as before. They always say "I'll gey onto Accounts and sort it out". Nothing ever comes of it. I just want my refund of £159. Not too much to expect??.
