“I subscribed with this company, and paid the subscription fee. There is a 30 day refund guarantee, and I asked for a refund on the same day I subscribed, because I was unsatisfied with the content of the website (there were many spots where the advice was not in line with GTO poker theory or exploitive play). Afterwards I registered with Jonathan Little’s website, which is much, much better (service, communication, content, value for money)
Advancedpokertraining.com even lists Jonathan Little as one of their coaches. I informed Jonathan Little’s customer service about this, and apparently Jonathan Little created a little bit of content for them in the past. That is however a misrepresentation because I am a member at Jonathan Little’s website (pokercoaching.com), and the content there is vastly different. They also informed me that Jonathan Little is not a coach at advancedpokertraining.com and that he is in no way affiliated with the management of the website. They were just as surprised that I did not receive back my refund.
(FYI, my poker level: I started playing live tournaments at the end of 2017. I am a recreational player, and have played 85 live tournaments in 2019, and ended up with a profit at the end of the year (2018 as well). My poker knowledge comes from books, experience, and talking to poker players, including friends who are professionals)
Another reason for my cancellation was a technical bug. I informed the customer service of the technical bug, and they responded by email what was wrong etc. I made printscreens to explain it to them. They then solved the bug, but I still wanted to cancel my subscription.
WITHIN 14 DAYS AFTER MY SUBSCRIPTION, I SENT THEM 8 (!) EMAILS TO CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION. NONE OF MY EMAILS WERE REPLIED. Thus, in the end I did not receive my money ($ 30) back.
THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. How come they DO respond to a bug, but don’t reply to a cancellation request??!! (There is no other way to contact them, then by email. There is also no method to cancel via their website)
On their website, the following is stated, clearly it is a lie.
“if you’re not 100% convinced you’ve become a better poker player, we’ll give you your money back with no hassle.”
Advancedpokertraining.com is a SCAM! Do not subscribe with the company, because you will NOT receive back your refund if you want to. All your refund emails will be ignored. Also, the content is very much below par, and there are many other poker websites that offer an honest, better service and content.”
