“I am a professional chauffeur operator and have worked directly with OTS (Onward Travel Solutions). My experience has shown serious issues that customers and partner companies should be aware of.
OTS does not operate any real taxi or chauffeur fleet. They have no vehicles, no drivers, and no operational investment. They rely fully on independent companies like us, yet present themselves as if they are an airport taxi service.
Websites such as airporttaxis-uk.co.uk give customers the impression they are booking with an official airport taxi company. This is not true. Many passengers arrive at the terminal expecting a branded airport taxi waiting in the taxi rank, when in reality the job has been passed to an outside driver who has no link to the airport taxi bay. This causes confusion and frustration for customers and puts suppliers in a difficult position.
Their pricing structure is another major problem. OTS reduces customer fares to attract bookings, but the cost of actually delivering that service falls entirely on the supplier. Drivers and companies pay for fuel, insurance, vehicle wear, airport fees, maintenance, parking, and breakdowns, while OTS contributes nothing. Despite this, they still take a commission from every job.
A recent incident shows how unfair the system is. One of my drivers was on the way to a 6:35am pickup when his vehicle suddenly broke down. I informed OTS immediately, around 30 minutes before pickup, explaining that reaching the passenger was no longer possible. Instead of dealing with the situation fairly, they deducted £16.24 from another payment with no justification. Charging a supplier for an unavoidable mechanical failure is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of fairness.
OTS operates in a way that misleads customers and places all risk on the suppliers who actually carry out the work. Their decisions, deductions, and communication leave companies like ours carrying the full burden of running a professional service while they benefit without contributing to any operational cost.
I cannot recommend this company based on the experiences and issues encountered.”
