“I sent a Kiev 60 to be serviced with them last year; at the time the only problems it had were that the frame spacing was too narrow and that the shutter very occasionally sticks maybe once every roll or two.
When I received it back a few weeks later than expected, the camera had been absolutely butchered and had multiple problems that didn't exist before, the frame spaces were now too wide so I could only get 10-11 shots instead 12, the shutter was defective and now burns anywhere from 2 to 6 shots per roll. The focusing screen was replaced with a dimmer one; the leatherette they replaced it with was so bad that it fell apart after 1 week and the camera had been prised open by force, leaving a nasty gap.
I reached out to Arax and they told me up look at the manual (and youtube video) and ignored all further emails requesting support/warranty. I checked their youtube video and there were many similar complaints before they deleted the comments section. I would encourage you to find the reddit post about this issue as it appears they have been scamming people for a long time.”
“AraxPhoto in Kiev stands out as a reliable option for camera repairs. With over 20 years of experience, they have consistently provided service, even during challenging times like the Russian invasion of Ukraine. I found them at Flickr.”
