“Do not use this company. They installed sliding doors at our home which have prominent gaps between the doors. The doors are not lined up properly and do not lock. They are not fit for purpose and the company refuses to replace them or refund our money. We are significantly out of pocket trying to fix the mess they have left us. Their approach to customer service is appalling.”
“I ordered doors from Artsteel based solely on the website and the technical specification and drawings available on there. To be honest, they look nice.
I paid my 40% deposit and waited for the 10 week lead time. I then waited a further 12 weeks and over 100 emails and countless phone calls for the door to arrive. Apparently it was permanently in product in Poland and due to arrive. Often when I called the company the phone would direct me straight away to a full inbox and cut off.
When the doors did arrive in December (instead of September) my house had only a temporary plyboard keeping the snow out and was freeing cold. The guys on site remove the board, unpacked their gear and half made the door before realising they were misising some bits and packing up before putting the now mud covered board back up with gaping holes. Another 2 -3 weeks went by before the door came back only to realise that it was a totally different style of door and handles to the one I had ordered!
By now I just desperately needed a door so they installed it. Then for the next few months I found issues with it not closing, the lock barrel was too short so left a hole for water, it was sealed in only with expanding foam which as left untidied, hinges were rusted, paint damaged etc etc. I wrote to Atrsteel with photos and they were too embarrassed to even reply. I had to fix the door myself with a new lock, adhesive tape, hacksaw etc.
In short they were appalling from start to finish and I would never recommend them to anyone. Don't be fooled by the nice website. They are rip off merchants”
