“Paid for advise and administration relating to "Tranfer-out" of Defineded Benefits "Lump Sum". I was unhappy with the quality of recommendations, As they lacked a holistic approach and did not appear to be in my financial interests. Exercised my "cooling off period" consumer rights and finally got a transfer out completed into a SSIP managed by an INDEPENDENT ACTURY. I subsequently request a part refund of fees from Ascot Lloyd. I had to fight hard to eventually secure the requested refund. I would not recommend this company as I feel I can demonstrate they were not working in my best interests, despite me paying them to be my "independent financial advisor" - quite an oxymoron. AVIOD/BE VERY VERY CAUTIOUS/VERY SELF SERVING.”
