“This place is a scam. My insurance is Medicare Advantage, which has a little bit of dental and a little vision, so I thought it was the right pick for insurance coverage. Medicare Advantage doesn't let you pay out of pocket, and the dentist will get into trouble if they see someone that has Medicare Advantage. When I looked at doctor's offices that take Medicare Advantage the only one in town was Aspen Dental. My original dentist(who is a family dentist that I trusted), stopped taking Medicare Advantage because it was so hard to get the money from Medicare Advantage. I went to Aspen dental, one of my front teeth is a crown and it's breaking. I know I need it replaced. They wanted to replace it with an implant, which probably is what it needs. The also want to replace all of my upper teeth with implant's, my teeth are a liitle bit wiggly. They wanted to charge me $9,000 dollar"s just for the replacement of my front tooth. I spoke with the Aspen Dental person that set's up the payment plan's.They rush you through the process because your so emtional with what they just told you about what's wrong your teeth. She set me up with their in house Payment plan, which they will do for anyone that walks in the door. Bad credit? No problem. My credit is fine. By the time she put in discount's and my insurance it came to about $5,000 which she put on a five year payment plan. Thank God it was the weekend. I had two days to think about it over the weekend. I don't have any bills that I'm paying off at this time. On Saturday I was in such a bad black mood because I set up this payment plan. I could't even get out of bed from the stress. They give you 5 days to cancel the contract. I canceled it on Monday. My mood changed to being totally happy. I'm switching to Original Medicare, which doesn't have any dental, but I can pay out of pocket. I'm going to see my regular dentist in January when I change my policy. My front tooth is probably going to break before then, but I'm going to wait and look horrible until January and pay out of pocket. Don't be fooled. All they want is money, and they don't care how they do it. I would give them no star's, but I want people to get see this review.”
“If You are Looking for Dentist (Or Dentistry) find a Dentist that is concerned about your Care and Smile, Getting "His Money". That will sit down and Discuss the "Dental Plan" with (your Options) you and make sure that you leave with A Great Smile; for Example, if you are getting a "Full Mouth Extraction" he should Advise you NOT to get "Temporary Dentures" ( if you took out a Loan) and only have "So Much to Spend On Your Smile, Let the Patient KNOW!! Discuss It With Them Don't ORDER TEMPORARY DENTURES. Order, PERMANENTS!! They LAST LONGER! LOGIC!!! That's what happens when YOU DON"T Talk with YOUR PATIENT. Common Sense Would Tell Me I would Need "Permanents OVER Temporary", At Least To DISCUSS IT WITH THE PATIENT. WHO Sends a Patient AWAY WITH OUT A SMILE THAT CAME IN WITH A SMILE? That's LOGICAL, A Dentist That Cares, would Tell You This, (Converse With You) Give you The Option Not Order Temporary and Leave You without the Money For "Permanents" And No Solution for Your Smile in the End. Steer Clear Of (James "Chako" Williams) At Aspen Dental In Freeport Ill, Who does That?”
“I want to give special thanks to dr veal and his assistant Denise for the fine and professional way they showed me dealing with my 3 tooth fillings, they worked great as a team, made me feel relaxed, and confident that I was in good hands, they really cared about the patient.”
“Aspen Dental has the worst organizational skills I've ever seen. Every time I go I get there early I have to wait even though I have an appointment. Unable to get a cleaning when I go for my exam and x-rays so they have to set up a separate appointment just for my cleaning. When my exam was complete they sent me back out into the waiting room to wait for someone to look over my insurance for coverage and to give me appointments I sat there for a half an hour after my exam was done. I then asked the receptionist how much longer will it be, she said whenever the insurance manager is done. I said I've already had my exam I've been sitting out here 30 minutes waiting for an appointment I am not waiting any longer I asked them to call me and I accident the building.
Why I would have to go back out into the waiting room after my exam just for appointments in my insurance check is ridiculous.
Unfortunately it's the only place I can go that my insurance covers... very dissatisfied with the weight and how they have it organized to make you wait again after your exam is done. So now I will wait for a phone call for my appointments.”
