Especially if you consider the cost of an unnecessary vet visit just to get a prescription for flea treatment, it is definitely more affordable.
Ordered Sunday 6/20, but it was already Monday in Australia, so the order was processed quickly. I actually tried ordering the same exact product from 1-800-PetMeds immediately before this supplier, and they did not even get back to me until after AussiePet had already sent out my order! Once being cleared for international departure, it took about a week for it to be sent out on an international flight, but it was only a day or two after it was flown to the U.S. I received it. Estimated shipping time was 3-4 weeks, and it arrived 15 days after I ordered it.
$44.00 + $7.50 for international airmail = $51.50 total
From the leading U.S. based websites, even with free shipping, the cost for the product alone is $68.05, and they require a prescription from a vet.
Even if I had chosen the international courier option to get it a week sooner, for +$25 instead of $7.50, the total price still would have been roughly the same ($69) as getting it through Chewy or 1800PetMeds or Walmart, but still doesn't require the hassle of vet authorization.
