“I bought size 3 but they were more like a 3.5 or 4 so I had to return them. I was told another picture design might fit smaller but didn't want to take a chance as this was too vague and I was paying for the postage.”

Hi, we’re very sorry the size didn’t work for you this time. We are always happy to exchange and it’s true that there are some designs which come up smaller. We did offer for you to trace around your foot and that we would find a smaller size especially for you and send them back free of charge. We don’t charge postage for deliveries. It’s completely free but we do ask that if shoes are turned for exchange the buyer covers the small cost to return them . It’s usually £3.49 or even less if you use Evri. It’s always good to get feedback and reviews and we try hard to make them all 5* As you may note we have very high ratings for both our products and our customer service. “Size 5, my usual size, was far too large. Need to review your sizing. Insoles were flimsy & didn’t fit well in the shoes.”

“I'm sure they will be great WHEN I get them. They seem to be stuck with the couriers still. No sign of them on their way to he so cant answer questions about delivery Happy to wite another review IF we ever get them!!”

“Disappointed- the quality of the graphics was poor - blurred in parts. I selected cats for a Christmas present. Nothing special in terms of orthotics or arch support.”

“I feel I have been ripped off. I bought a black pair for gardening and they lasted about a week where a tear appeared on the top, not even sure how it happened so not very robust for gardening just for walking out your backdoor and back again. I bought exactly the same shoe from Lakeland for less than half the price.”

“The shoes are light and comfortable but you market them as 'washed canvas' which is what I was expecting, and only in the small print does it say 'printed' washed canvas. I painted mine as I thought they were hideous. J”

“Deeply disappointed to have received this request for a review. I purchased the shoes for my husbands birthday which has not yet happened so when he saw this email he instantly knew what part of his present was going to be. I really think there should be an option when purchasing goods whether or not a review request can be sent.”

“After waiting a couple of weeks for the delivery, i contacted the company to find out where they were. They misunderstood and believed i was returning my order. Eventually a replacement order was sent, unfortunately the size was wrong. Such an annoyance as I've bought clogs from the company before.”

“Having already purchased two pairs of Backdoor shoes for women I confidently bought a third pair in the sale in the same size 7 that I had bought previously. However, the shoes that arrived, although marked as size 7, were much too big - the insole was 1cm shorter than the sole of the shoe, leaving a gap before the heel, and they were considerably wider than a normal 7 should be. If it were not for the fact that the shoes were a bright strawberry pink one might have thought that the sizing was for a man !! Consequently I have returned them and have been refunded the cost.”

“It was advised on the website that I get a size larger than normal, which meant they were far too large and I had to send them back and get a smaller pair. However even with this the low back to the shoes means they keep falling off.......a disappointing buy.......”

“My husband I have both had a pair of Backdoorshoes for a long time but they both needed replacing (both were men’s shoes). We have both found that the new ones are not so comfortable as our previous ones as they squash our toes. Not sure if more depth or more width is required. Literally only use now to walk to garage whereas I used to love mine for walking dog etc. Very disappointing.”
