“Is Badoo an Orwellian experiment? After years of using Badoo (without success) I suspect that some of the people whom I've chatting with (who always produced facile, generic conversations) were in fact bots. Highly sophisticated, but bots nonetheless. I also suspect that Badoo is free because it's a testing ground for algorithms, bots and AI. This can be proven by blocking some of the people who 'like' you. Block them and they come back and 'like' you again. Block them again, and they come back again. I wonder if meta data is collected and sent to government departments, so that they can refine their 'methods'.”

“Where do I start with this very fraudulent people. I wish there was a negative star and I would have selected it as they don't deserve 1 star. My feedback ID is 66412877. When I signed up and paid for Badoo they retained my card and automatically toggled the auto topup on even when I manually toggled it off. They also stored my card details even when I did not want. This is totally against compliance. I also noticed a lot of fake profiles that looked like they bought if from some profile seller. I cancelled my subscription upon noticing all these and more. End of month Badoo charged my card again despite all that I had opted out for, claiming that there is no record of opting out and that it is their terms and conditions. I contacted them and they are so focused on how to fraudulently take money off people during this difficult financial times for a very poor app and services. I have asked my bank to chase the money for me. Bottomline is I would not advise anyone to sign up for this or pay a dime for it. Use other dating apps instead of this. They are a scam and try to frustrate all efforts of cancelling and all just to take your money.”

“A dreadful dating app. Absolutely the worst I have ever used. You get inundated with ridiculous emails - all of which are trying to get you to sign up to a premium account. Foolishly I decided to try it and paid by Apple Pay. It was still dreadful. So bad that I deleted my account. The emails still kept coming. I contacted support who told me the procedure for properly deleting my account. Then 2 weeks later £17.99 was taken from my ApplePay by Badoo. This despite my account having been closed. They refused to refund the mone and said that it says in the smallprint that I have to delete the account on Apple too. This is just a scam site. The constant emails are ridiculous and they must make a fortune from these kind of transactions. It is absolutely NOT worth paying these cowboys a single penny. A premium account does not improve things - believe me.”
