“We just returned from Peru and the Bamba Experience. My husband, myself, and our 18 and 24 year old children went for the adventure vacation. While we have done trips like this before I believe this will be the most memorable for all.The initial visit to the Bamba office left us wondering about things a bit. The Admin was not the friendliest and we felt a little brushed off. However, upon returning to the office to meet our guide we felt better. And for good reason. We lucked out and got Junior! Junior literally made our trip the best possible way to see and learn about Peru. Junior's English is excellent and he even taught us a new word...syncretism. His knowledge of his culture and Machu Picchu was remarkable to say the least. Those things in themselves are enough to make for an excellent guide, but Junior far exceeded that. He got to know all of us on a personal level even taking interest in our individual likes. Junior introduced us to the local fruit, crops, monkeys and specialty drinks. He looked after everyone's meal preferences and personal belongings while keeping a watchful eye on each of our whereabouts always mindful of details. For instance, we said that we like spicy food. So, at every restaurant, Junior had a pico sauce made for us. We absolutely loved the local avocados so Junior had guacamole made for us. I even got to bring home an avocado seed that Junior had saved for me. He constantly looked after our wants and needs while providing a FUN safe experience always with a smile on his face as he called us "my friends." Go! And ask for Junior and have a trip of a lifetime.”
