“Banquet records is a very rude company. I bought a record that was personalized by an artist and that was November 4th 2025. I was refused a tracking number until I threatened a charge back February 1st due to the company pushing the date further several times. I almost lost my date to do a charge back and never was given my product told I put the wrong address and it was all me and never given the opportunity to have a refund or the record to be resent making sure it has the right proper address. American also but had to pay more just to never receive. I do not recommend a company who pushes the date so far instead of looking into the issue and trying to resolve sooner and refusing a tracking number. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Stay away!”
“they lost my PERSONALISED maisie peters vinyl so i’ll never get to know what she wrote on it. it’s absolutely ridiculous not allow tracked delivery for internationals and it’s infuriating that i’ll never know where my parcel ended up. this happened months ago and i’m still so angry”
“Disappointing again! Have a few times stuck with Banquet as I really value the theory of a local independent record store, so try to shop at Rough Trade or Banquet or direct from the label rather than the corporate alternatives.
Sad to say Banquet always disappoints. Pre-ordered the PJ Harvey album (standard version - no fancy things!) As a fan, I like the idea of receiving it on the day of release. It arrives 6 days later. No response to my email four days ago, asking that if it hadn't been dispatched, I'd prefer to buy it physically from a store, so that I could at least hear it. Not sure if it's a lack of staff, or just a lack of care in getting things right - with their shocking customer service, I'm surprised they're still in business.
Sadly not a one off - almost every order I've ever placed with Banquet either never shows up or I have to retrieve it from the shop itself - was once told they had it in their hand, so made a special journey for them to have mislaid a whole boxful when I went to the shop. The good news - I've finally learnt my lesson and won't be going back!”
“Ordered on their website! I paid immediately and the purchase was taken place during the pre-order time and they totally could prepare stuff. However, after the release date of the album I've never received anything. The order status began from proccessing and then turn to System stock error and finally became outstanding. I had wrote many emails to them for a long time but they NEVER reply to me! NEVER! I don't know what my order is going on. I don't know how I can get the items. I don't know why there's a delay. THEY'VE IGNORED ME even I contact they by emails, phones and twitter.”
“A purchase was made on this website without my consent. I emailed them multiple times about it right away, as my bank alerted me of the fraudulent charge. They emailed me telling me they had shipped the item, then within minutes they replied to my emails from the day prior pleading them to cancel the order. I agreed that if I received the item I would just return it for a refund. I had to reach out to the post office to intercept the package bc they sent it to someone else's address. Over a month later, and it's safe to say I'm never getting the record so I can return it. The person who I spoke to was super rude, as well. These people just SUCK.”
