Really love my cacti however sometimes my friend gets different pots which are nicer and better quality Cacti. So have considered ending the subscription.

Hi, i am sorry, i am treating all the cactus and one is dying, 1 did, i am treating them as it says on the card, the one shown above dosnt look anything like that picture,i dont think i am good enough for these i dont no wot to do, ty

Very expensive for what it is, the monthly surprises are mediocre, but well packaged and healthy plants, nice pots but you can get them at a small fraction of the price in B&Q and supermarkets

I am very happy with the cacti and the information that comes with them regarding plant care, but the quality of the pots is not as good, and one so far is very poor. If it wasn’t for the pots I would have given 5 stars.

I have been using Barry cactus club for ages (over a year- I was a member of the first month of subscriptions). The cacti are super cute!! But I have a few criticisms and it pains me to be this honest: 1.I’ve had a few very late deliveries or times when my cactus just didn’t turn up.. I messaged the company and they sent a new one but it wasn’t in the best of conditions. 2.I think 15 pounds is a lot of money when cacti are so cheap in the shops now.. I know you are paying to support a growing company and for the uniqueness (this will bring me on to point3) but the plants aren’t very big and it’s a lot to be paying when the quality isn’t the best. 3. I have had replicas of pots.. the fact the pots were cute and all different is the reason why I kept paying the amount. It’s not as exciting if you have two of the same. Why let a customer continue with the subscription if there’s going to be repeats? 4. The cacti do not turn up with alot of soil or grow very well, my latest one was missing leaves and branches so is quite bare. I don’t know if it will recover? It was better at the start, I think now more people are using it the worse the quality and organisation of it is. I will probably be cancelling soon as I haven’t had any incentives/discounts or loyally rewards for keep this up for over the past year.

Hello Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed review and for your honest feedback. I'm very sorry to hear that you have had issues with the subscription. I can see that sadly there was an issue with your May box not being delivered, with our team promptly sending out a replacement for you. On occasion, although very rarely, boxes can go missing while in transit. We'd always advise our customers to get in touch if this is the case so we can send a new one out. However, rest assured we are always working on improving the delivery service so we can try and ensure these issues don't happen. We did include a replica of the very first pot we did for the subscription in our May edition. However, I can assure you this was purely a one-off due to the June pot being delayed and we have no plans to do any more duplicate pots in the future. All of our items will always be brand new. Nevertheless, I apologise for any disappointment caused by this. An email was sent out to all our subscribers informing them of this, but it sounds like this may not have come through. With regards to the cacti themselves, I'm very sorry to hear that your cacti haven't been growing very well so far. This could be due to a variety of reasons from how often they are fed to the environment they are in/how much sun they get. A member of our team is going to be in touch as soon as possible via email as it sounds like your cactus from this month hasn't arrived in the best condition, and our aim is to ensure each cactus sent out always arrives in the best possible condition, as well as the other items included in the box. We do currently have a built-in rewards scheme for our subscribers so you can earn points and then use them against your subscription. Absolutely love the e boxes however I just received my 12 month box and I have only been sent 10 months worth of cacti - other than that I love the whole expert

Probably going to cancel my subscription after my next cactus arrives. I left some feedback in December and no one really got back to me about it. The cacti are usually lovely but the other item you get is not very reliable in value at all. The first item is a nice pin badge which is great. Got some reusable metal straws and aloe hand sanitiser which was also good. But sometimes you literally get sent a single packet of seeds and it’s pretty bad. I don’t have a garden so several of my things are just sitting unopened still. May’s cactus and pot were pretty ugly too, being totally honest. Sometimes it’s great but sometimes it’s really not. I’ve also had items missing before and had to ask to have things sent and when that’s happened I’ve been made to take a photo of what has arrived as if I have to prove that things are missing, not really any apology about the missing things either. One of the gifts was a packet of pencils that said ‘you grow girl’ on them - doesn’t really apply to me as I’m not a girl. Lots of little things that just need a bit more attention to detail if I’m honest. Has been nice getting a new cactus every month though. Most of them are growing and none have died - I’ve seen on Instagram that that’s a problem some people have been having. Love the stuff from Ohh Deer so maybe adding more little things from here instead of packets of seeds. Or the little cactus key ring I’ve seen you advertising - that would make a far better extra thing for the box.

I'm very sorry to hear that you have had issues with the subscription in the past and that not every box has been a winner for you, especially when it comes to the surprise extras that we include in the boxes. It's sad to hear that you haven't been able to use the seeds. With regards to the May pot, we have taken on board our customers feedback regarding this and don't have any plans to do a similar pot in the future. Apologies, for any disappointment caused by the communication you have received from our customer service team when you have contacted them. I can assure you that when an image was requested for your missing items this wouldn't have been in order to prove something is missing. It's just our company policy that we have to request an image. This is often so we can ensure everything else with your order is in good condition/in case we need to use the images to raise an issue internally. Our aim is to ensure that all our customers are provided with the best possible service when it comes to both the customer service they receive and also the boxes that they are sent. It's a great idea for a subscription service, I do think it is slightly overpriced for what you get but you can skip months so it's not too expensive then. My main issue is with the delivery being with the Post Office, as often my delivery is very late or, as with my previous delivery, it wasn't delivered at all and a new order had to be sent. It would be better if they used a different delivery method. I would recommend it as a subscription service as it's quirky and unique.

I loved receiving these little guys every month I did for a year but unfortunately several came with a mealy bug infection which got so out of hand it spread to my other cacti and I lost a lot of valuable cacti from my collection because of it. A total of 5 out of the 12 I've received died within a month due to the bugs and I've got 2 which are touch and go. So unfortunately spending every month trying to get on top of the infections it got too much. Especially when they spread to my others which I've had for years that not only had monetary value but also very personal value. Other wise the pots and other bits that come with them are great and it was good fun getting the surprises every month

Although I am enjoying the Cactus delivery, I have found the actual delivery to be a bit of a pain. I have ordered over a year and twice it has gone missing with quite a lot being late through the month. The cacti I have received have been quite similar to one another when the advertisements show an array of different shapes and sizes, I have 4 that only vary in coloutlr but are very similar.

Usually, I love getting my monthly cactus, the seeds and Info cards but the last two boxes I’ve had both cactus have had a disease. I’ve contacted via email but no one has gotten back to me yet and it’s been ages. Disappointed.
