“Love these Boss amps for my home sound system! Using an active crossover with:
PT3000 for 2x15” and a bridged 18” subwoofer.
PV3700 for 4x8”.
And an old Denon to drive the tweeters.
When I upgraded the power source to an Astron RS-70M AP, discovered as I expected the Boss’s absolutely need 13.8V to run at their best. Depending on the track, together these amplifiers can draw over 40Amps.
The PT3000 gets pretty hot with sustained use at high output, so I’ll be looking for some kind of massive heat sync. Turn the volume down and it cools off quickly on its own, but who wants to turn the volume down :)”
