“Not recommended at all
I’ve used this company (Bought by Many) for my dog’s insurance policy for years but cancelled this year due to hefty unreasonable increase in my premium. But cancellation couldn’t be harder if one tried one. First off their inadequate system cancelled my policy 14 days earlier. After numerous calls to some absolute unprofessionals who can only either pass the bucks to others in their company or promise to call me back the next day but never do whom fail to sort the problem the first time one calls, causing me enormous stress having to keep calling them again and again waiting for 40-50 minutes for them to pick up the call even though their excuses of pandemic is no longer a valid one. After they finally reinstated my policy I was due a 20% discount on my policy if there was no claim. Well you’ll be surprised to know that even though I never had a claim from these unprofessionals I’ve received an email advising me of a 19 miser pence refund when I’m due approx £58??? I was furious i thought they sorted their inadequate system’s issues but obviously not. I called them & spoken with an Asian gentleman whose name starts with V who promised the world including a call the next day but of course the call next day never happened and2 more emails even didn’t bring a response either, and I feel cheated as they are basically running off not only with years of premium I’ve paid but the rightful 20% refund i am due. Absolutely disgusted with these people. I am not sure how they will deal with an actual claim thanks god my dog didn’t have any cause for a claim but I can only imagine how that would’ve been dealt with. No way I recommend these people. Please be very wary of their unprofessional ways of dealing with customers.”
“I have been recommending Bought By Many to everyone with pets for the last three years that my dog has been insured with them. Each year, the premium has risen by a few pounds, but this year it has increased by 28% (with just one minor claim that didn't even use up the excess) to £43 per month! I complained and BBM has brushed me off and referred me to the Ombudsman. I was told that premiums are not linked to individual dogs, but to the area where I live and vet costs in those areas. My son, who I recommended BBM to, lives in the same area as me and has had his dog's policy premium reduced by £8 pm! How sad, yet fairly typical, for what seemed to be a great company to turn into something less desirable and very greedy. I am so disappointed. Here ends my recommendations for this company.”
