The plug pins are not the same size as the original Lumenition plug pins. The distributor cap still has casting burrs on it, on the mating surface. The rotor button fitted firmly once, and is now sloppy. I'm wondering if the optical switch will melt first time it gets hot. No, I'm not very happy. Granted, you managed to take my order, charge me, and deliver it in a timely manner. David Reynolds

It is with regret that you are unhappy with the parts supplied recently. Despite our best efforts, problems with orders do arise occasionally and we have full back up available via our sales team to deal with this. It is therefore disappointing that you chose to publish your thoughts publicly without contacting us first directly to give us the opportunity to help. It should also be noted that you have not responded to an email we sent to you after reading this review. Your first complaint is for a Lumenition replacement optical eye OS50. The manufacturer has confirmed that their wiring has not changed and it is not a complaint we have received before. We do not believe there is a fault with this part. If you need to, the manufacturer is happy for you to contact them directly at support@autocar-electrical.com. Secondly you mention the side entry distributor cap. Yes it does have a small bit of flash on the bottom where it has been ejected from the moulding. It takes seconds to remove this with a sharp knife. Apologies if this was not up to standard. Thirdly you have a Lucas rotor arm which you say is now sloppy. We have unsuccessfully tried to replicate this issue using stock items and we are unaware of previous quality issues regarding this part. Without having the parts to inspect, we can only apologise and put this down to a one-off failure. Your final comment ‘I'm wondering if the optical switch will melt first time it gets hot’ is pure speculation without evidence and has no place in your review.

Phoned to ask if the black friday deals applied in store as i would like to come and buy some parts i've been saving up for and come and pay for them cash in the Ilford shop. Was told yes thats fine, but the black friday deals are online only. So i travelled down 2 1/2 hours only to be told by a reall offish member of staff at the store that they dont take cash any more. Why didnt they tell me on the phone when i called to ask that before letting me drive all that way? They said the boss is too tight to pay 1p to put the cash in the bank, and now have lost all future business from me.

Commande d'un démarreur pour Caterham qui ne s'adapte pas. Demande de retour effectuée dans les temps mais plus aucune réponse de leur part malgré les nombreuses relances.

I’ve brought a few things from them but this time needed some help. I’m after 2 breather hoses and some spark plug leads. 3 days later received an email stating they don’t stock what I need. I’ve been on site today and found 1 pipe I need and leads.

I ordered and received a BH8 bell housing which was to fit my Cologne V-6 to a T-5 trans. Unfortunately the starter they recommended did not fit their bell housing. The stock starter will not fit their bell, and they as of now one year later as far as I know still cannot provide a starter that will fit their BH8 bell and work with the stock Cologne 2.8l ring gear/fllywheel. So my project is stalled and as it seems orphaned.

I couldn't be more annoyed with Burton Power. I ordered and paid for a head gasket set that was urgently required. It was shown as in stock, so I ordered online and paid extra for 1-2 day courier delivery service. I had no reply to an email I sent a couple of days later to check on status, and after phoning I was told by someone, that sounded half-a-sleep and totally uninterested, that the head gasket was not even in stock! Completely messed up my planned weekend away. If I had not contacted them, who knows how long I would have had to wait for the parts - and how can BP justify charging extra for a fast delivery if they haven't even got the item in stock? Totally disgusted with Burton Power, their total lack of professionalism and indifferent attitude.
