“After being laid off from my software engineering job due to company cutbacks I lost my medical insurance and my ability to get prescription modafinil (I was actually traveling overseas a lot in different time zones so my use of the drug was on label). I obviously benefited from the brain boosting side effects, as well as a boost in job performance. but without medical insurance, and trying to build a new business, I quickly realized how important modafinil would be to my success.
