“They were chasing a debt that had been cleared 2 years previously. They refused to believe me, or even contact original credit card company. In the end I reported them to ombudsman and was able to get evidence of payment after a lot of searching of old bank statements.
5 minute phone call from them to card company would have cleared it straight away.
Probably cost them more than debt (£110) to chase it.
I advise they do some due diligence on all debts and check with original companies if there records are up to date.”
