About CambriLearn:

CambriLearn is an accredited online private school for students aged 4 to 19, teaching families in more than 100 countries.

Lessons are live and timetabled, taught by qualified subject teachers, and classes run to a set weekly schedule. Students follow the International British Curriculum, Pearson Edexcel or US K-12 pathway and sit the same external examinations as students in a school building, so they leave with qualifications universities recognise anywhere.

Every lesson is recorded and available afterwards. Parents can see marks, attendance and progress at any point in the year rather than waiting for a report to arrive.

CambriLearn is accredited by Cognia and Pearson Edexcel, and is NCAA approved. More than 80,000 students have come through the school over 20 years, with a 98% university acceptance rate.

“South Africans in Doha here. We went with the British curriculum because we don't know where we'll be in five years, and being an hour ahead of SA means the live lessons land at sensible times for us. Two kids in two different stages at one dining table gets loud. We've invested in good headphones.”

“We semigrated from Joburg to Cape Town in June and the one thing that didn't change was school. Same teachers, same login. She did a week of work from my sister's spare room while the movers lost half our furniture. One less thing to sort out in a very messy year.”

“He was bored stiff at his old school and it showed in his behaviour. Here he can work ahead in maths and nobody makes him sit through a lesson he already understands. Taking a star off for the social side, which honestly is more on us than the school. He needs to get out of the house more, so we've signed him up for hockey and a coding club.”

“We're Afrikaans, and I half expected the online side to end up mostly in English anyway. It hasn't. His lessons and his teachers are Afrikaans, and that matters to us. Small hiccup with two of his live lessons clash with rugby practice, so he watches those recordings later in the week. Not ideal, but he keeps up.”

“We switched to Cambrilearn in January. I was scared it would be too much screen time for a Grade 4, but the work is spread nicely over the week and her teacher never rushes her. She reads to her little brother every night now! Thank you to the whole team.”

“IEB was a deliberate choice. She wants to do engineering and we wanted her used to the way IEB papers ask questions long before matric. The marking surprised me. Her English teacher writes proper comments all over her essays and she reads them, which for a tennager is a minor miracle.”

“She's in Grade 11, so the big thing for us was knowing she can write matric in Afrikaans next year without changing schools again. She can. Grade 11 is a big step up and the weekly maths Q&A has saved her more than once. It's good to find a school that takes our language seriously.”

“my son has ADHD and sitting still in a class of 38 was never going to work. at home its different, he does maths in 20 min bursts, jumps on the trampoline, comes back. his teachers haven't lost their minds yet with all his questions (there are a LOT of questions lol)”

“Matric is stressful wherever you write it. My big question before we signed up was whether his certificate would be the 'real' one, and it is. Same NSC through SACAI, and he writes his exams at a centre like everyone else. He finishes his last paper next month. Results in January. Proud of him either way”

“I won't pretend online school fixes everything. She still has bad days. But last year she felt sick every Sunday night because of a group of girls in her class, and that's gone. My husband noticed it first. She was singing in the shower again.”

“I am raising my grandson and I was very worried about the computer side because I am not good with technology. The lady from Cambrilearn phoned me back two times to help me set up and she was very patient with me. He does his schoolwork in the mornings and goes to soccer in the afternoon. His report was good. Thank you to his teachers!”

“Grade 10 is a different animal. The deadlines come from SACAI and they don't move, so if your kid likes to leave things for later (mine does) you have to check in every week. When he's actually asked for help the teachers have been good. Took us most of the first month to work out where everything is on the platform. Would do it again though.”

Hi Eva! Thanks for sharing. We understand Grade 10 can be a bit of a maze with fixed SACAI deadlines, and it helps to check in weekly. It’s good to hear the teachers are responsive when asked and that the platform onboarding became clearer after the first month. Team CambriLearn

“We farm about 40km outside Vryheid and the nearest decent high school would have meant boarding, which neither of us wanted for a 13 year old. Our internet comes off a tower on the koppie and works most days. When it doesn't, she works from her textbook and catches up”

“Our daughter is 7 so I fully expected to become her teacher. Turns out I'm more of a classroom assistant who also makes lunch. The Grade 2 live lessons aren't recorded, so we plan the week around them, and she gets very offended if anyone talks to her while she's 'in class'. Her teacher remembered our cat's name in week three. Small thing, but it made her day.”

“She plays tennis at a level where school was becoming the problem. Training is 6 till 8 in the morning and again at 3, and a tournament can mean a whole week away. When she misses a live lesson she RSVPs anyway and the recording lands in her email a few hours later, so she watches it in the hotel at night. Two terms in and she hasn't fallen behind.”

“We moved our son to Cambrilearn this year and it’s just been a much better fit for him. He still has structure and proper schoolwork, but there’s a lot less stress around getting through the day. He seems happier and more settled and actually talks to us about what he’s learning now.”

“Our daughter was enrolled at another online school and become imposssible to continue there for numerous reasons. We were recommended to look at Cambrilearn and naturally we were cautious, but from the first call we had the attention and understanding was amazing. We've been with Cambrilearn now for almost 5 months and its been really an amazing experience all round. Don't lose faith, there are many operators out there that just want your money, not Cambrilearn, they truly care about their children.”
