I was contacted by Auto Spares Direct via a website after I listed I was looking for a Powershift gearbox for a Ford Mondeo. I bought the box from them and they delivered to the garage who was doing the fitting for me. Cut a long story short, the gearbox was not what Marin/Lee Tuff claimed, it was less than usless and even though they gave me a 3 month warranty on the gear box have refused to rufund the price of the gearbox and now are not accepting my calls, messages or e-mails. They are no longer at Cow Lane Bolton as they advertise but tgere registerd address at companies house is; UNIT 4 LEVER BRIDGE MILLS RADCLIFFE ROAD BOLTON UNITED KINGDOM BL3 1RU Please do not engage with these dishonest people, they will take your money and have a really good laugh at you. I learnt the hard way..

Absolute con men. Do not buy anything from Lee or Martin. My son bought a gearbox for his VW Passat and it was the wrong one. During the many attempts by us to get a replacement we had every excuse going…. First had to take one out a car so would be two weeks then heard nothing. Then the courier had lost the gearbox. Then the label got damaged by rain and courier had to send it back as didn’t know where it was for. Then followed deadline after deadline passed until finally they stopped taking our calls. Lost £200 and stuck with a gearbox which we don’t even know what it’s off so can’t even attempt to sell it, but to be fair it’s probably broken anyway. Avoid at all costs these are scammers and con men.

Very disappointed in this company ordered an engine it finally turns up 2.5 weeks later than expected with excuse after excuse after being pestered to send the money for it . Now it’s turned up it’s an incomplete engine . And also it’s not the right engine so I have to strip right back to block and engine and rebuild rather than just put it in I would avoid this company like the plague nothing but con artists .

Robert Rodgers a minute ago NEW TOTAL SCAMMERS PLEASE STEER CLEAR BASIC SCRAP METAL DEALERS WITH NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. SEND STRIPPED PARTS, WARRANTY WORTH NOTHING AND REFUNDS UNHEARD OF. Bought a gearbox for Citroen DS3 after giving all my car details. They sent the wrong gearbox. Then followed10 days of excuses. 1. They had to remove replacement gearbox from a car 2. Their forklift had fell in a ditch 3. The gearbox had been sent but an issue at the depot causing delay (which was shown to be a lie when I contacted the haulage company who advised the gearbox hadn’t been collected yet ! 4. Had workers off work The list goes on, finally the replacement gearbox arrived damaged with a bent selector, missing the Diff, cam leg needed cut off and removed, plastic cover missing (basically sent a gear box that had already been stripped of vital parts and had no was just been removed from a donor car!!) Communication throughout difficult as I had to continually chase them for answers conversation often feeling challenging, customer support is zero. Wrote to them yesterday with all issues and with copy of delivery note saying gearbox was damaged. All messages read but no reply or phone call to try and sort. Now have 2 useless gearboxes taking up space £225 down and still needing to find a gearbox in a long bank holiday weekend so without a car for at least a further week.TOTAL SCAMMERS WHO OBVIOUSLY BUY CHEAP SCRAP CARS STRIP THEM, DONT TEST PARTS AND SEND THEM OUT HOPING FOR THE BEST. WISH IVHAD CHECKED REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASE AS THEY ARE SHOCKING. You may want to check the wording on positive reviews as they all look similar with comments like “well packaged”. Who says that about vehicle parts? Fake as F. GUESS ITS ANOTHER REPORT TO TRADING STANDARDS AND ANOTHER VIDIT TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT LEE AND MARTIN. Unless you fancy sorting this out the right way???

Purchased a terrible engine from Lee Martin Tuff. Asked for a refund and he agreed. Took the engine back to his unit and he told me he'll put the £1,700 back into my account. 1 week has passed he cut all ties with me and blocked me and threatened me to meet face to face. Pathetic and terrible customer service. Haven't heard from him since he threatened me. Terrible. Absolutely would not recommend. Lost £1,700.

Hello My name is Galin, as you can see I'm not a robot, so don't believe this company if they tell you that the competition is doing it dirty. Let me tell you how I was cheated and lied to by them: On 16/10/2022, I contacted "AUTO SPARES DIRECT LTD" from an ad for a van engine on Ebay. In the conversation they explained that the engine in question had been sold but they had another one available and if I wanted it they would sell it to me at a good price of £2300. I agreed, they sent me pictures, they sent me an invoice, I found out about the delivery that it is two days and the engine will be sent by courier and I checked them with Gov.uk, everything is fine with the company and then paid the sum of 2300 pounds. That's where all the problems related to lying started, by the way, they continue to lie to this day. They were supposed to send the motor on Friday 17:19 22, I called on Monday for tracking information, they explained that they couldn't send it on Friday and that they sent it over the weekend, I have to wait another 5 days for that. So I did, I called on Friday 10/24/22, they explained that they didn't know what was going on, that they would contact the supplier and that I would have to wait until Monday because it was the weekend and there was no way they could give me any information. So I did, I waited until Monday 10:00am 10/28/22, I called more than 5 times and messaged both numbers on whatsapp and normal text, after the 5th time they disconnected their numbers and didn't answer of my messages until today. With another lie, that Martin was sick and so far has not answered me, and on Wednesday he will send me the engine. I explained to them 100 times that I don't want an engine, I want my money because they are crooks, I don't know what engine will come, it could be overheated, driven without coolant, driven without oil or with worn pistons and segments. He continued to say the same on Wednesday 10/16/22 that he would fix things for me. Now let me tell you what damage they did to me, because that 2300 pounds is nothing. Due to a week's delay the mechanics fined me £26 for parking for all the days the van was there which was 10/12/22 to 11/04/22 making 23 x 26 pandas per day = £598 + £100 late fee (at by law they are entitled to charge me £26 a day) and we also put roadside assistance allowance twice at £440. The damage they have caused me is £1138 and the fraud they have caused me is £2300 for a total of £3428. Tip RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, I'm not the only scammer, see below how many more scammers there are. Avoid any agreement with them, we are currently gathering people who have been scammed by them, if you have been scammed by them, contact me, we are currently assembling a team to start the procedures required by law to legally expose the scammers and holding them back. successfully under the law as individuals and not as beneficiaries. Because these fraudsters, they are not afraid because if you are going to sue them, you are not suing them, you are suing the company, so there is nothing you can do, tomorrow they will change the company to another one and the fraudsters will continue. But I have found a loophole in the law that allows us to bring them in as company coffers, as someone has to pay these debts that we will now be making them for the garden affairs related to fraud. if you are scammed by them contact me and i will help you!!!

This is a true cowboy seller operating mainly on ebay and must not be trusted, sells very poor quality parts that fail after a few weeks and then completely ignores any replacement/refund request, doesn't even deserve one star

"Our aim is to provide the best possible service, and we believe 100% customer satisfaction is vital for our business. If you are not happy with the item you have received or our service in any way PLEASE email us and we will aim to resolve any issues in a timely and amicable manner" What an absolute laugh this statement is from their website. Ordered parts off Ebay, I needed to return them but..... "because you closed a 'return items' case we cannot accept a return" WHAT! I believe my 14 days cooling off period rights can be upheld here! What an awful 'business' to deal with, AVOID!!
