“Chase Chappell demonstrates a blatant disregard for the term and meaning of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Recently, a company in a similar industry reached out to inquire about Chase's capabilities, suggesting they were considering working with him. This directly breaches the NDA we signed, which explicitly outlined confidentiality.
Chase appears to be using this situation to bolster his reputation, despite contributing less than 1% to the companies success. During our calls, he often seems rushed and responds with curt, one-word answers, creating an atmosphere that discourages meaningful dialogue.
He lacks integrity by breaking NDAs and providing superficial advice during weekly Q&A sessions. In contrast, his YouTube videos offer more value; they allow for a more relaxed format without the pressure of an impending call ending, and they're available for free. However, I wouldn't label it as mentoring; it resembles more of a mastermind where everyone simply observes.
In summary, if you’re a larger company with established processes, I strongly advise against working with Chase. He may misuse your insights to create content that falsely claims credit for your successes, especially soon after you sign up.”
“Alright, folks, hold onto your hats! We're about to hit some turbulence in the world of ecommerce.
So, here's the deal: I was a total newbie to the online selling game. Figured I needed a seasoned pro to show me the ropes. Enter, my so-called "ecommerce guru."
I brought him on board, gave him full access to my Meta account, and basically handed him the keys to the kingdom.
At first, it was like a magic show. Sales started rolling in, and I was over the moon. But then, it was like the magic trick went wrong. He was talking a mile a minute, and I couldn't keep up. It was like trying to drink from a firehose! My sales hit a brick wall, and I was starting to get a little suspicious.
I decided enough was enough and told him to pack his bags. No hard feelings, but I needed someone who could actually teach me something.
Well, guess what? Turns out he wasn't done with me just yet. He decided to pull a sneaky move and run some super sketchy ads on my account. I'm talking weird languages, astronomical budgets, and ads that were straight-up creepy.
I ran into my meta account and found they still had access to edit my campaigns.
Turns out, his agency, Chappel Digital Marketing, was still lurking in the shadows.
Talk about a bitter pill to swallow!
So, if you're looking for a reliable ecommerce partner, I'd recommend steering clear of Chappel Digital Marketing. Trust me, I learned the hard way.”
“The lack of reviews for Chappell Digital Marketing should have been my first red flag. Being a business owner, I know what it takes to provide excellent customer service and I refuse to work with or patronize businesses that do not have the same values that I hold. That was my first mistake of a string of misguided decisions when it comes to Chappell.
My husband and I have an e-commerce brand that we needed help with when it came to running Meta ads. We’ve done it on our own and also had our fair share of “top producing ad agencies” who did nothing but disappoint. We thought things would be different with Chappell but boy were we wrong. A week prior to Chappell touching our ad accounts, we had ROAs on multiple campaigns of 2.7 up to 4.5 with solid results that we expected them to scale. With no exaggeration, the FIRST DAY they started changing things in our ads account, it completely tanked all of our highest performing campaigns and set everything back to the learning stage. When we approached our account manager about this, they denied any wrongdoing. This was our second mistake as we should’ve foreseen the grim future with our partnership with Chappell off that first mistake alone.
We have yet to recover our account to pre Chappell days and we have been bleeding money for WEEKS. We provide them with countless creatives for them to only use 2 or 3. We’ve given them the blueprint of past campaigns for present day promotions only for them to ignore it and say “we thought you were simply sharing past wins.” Why would I do that? It’s called guidance because clearly it’s needed in this business relationship with Chappell. They’ve turned off very profitable ad campaigns and replaced them with endless testing with ROAs that barely break even. Anything we tell them simply goes in one ear and out the other. We’ve had more rejected ads in the past month than we have in the past two years prior to dealing with them. We’ve had to proactively remove them from all accounts even though we’ve paid for ads management for the month of June…in an effort to prevent anymore damage and money lost.
I tried to resolve this directly with Chappell but our account manager is on vacation this week and we can only talk to our media buyer which is the source of most of our problems. They make all of these promises to close the sale and then pass you off to account managers and media buyers who are just not qualified to handle certain accounts. Avoid at all costs. Maybe this review will motivate a team member to respond to our issues and wishes to terminate this contract. Whatever you see on TikTok or Facebook, take it with a grain of salt. We truly thought we found the agency we would be with for the long haul., but they’re just another team of over promisers who under delivered at a hefty agency price.”
“After trying out a few digital marketing agencies and being let down, I had hoped Chappell Digital Marketing would be different. I had seen the great ROAs that Chase Chappell has been sharing on his TikTok account and thought I would give them a try.
After a profitable first half of the year, we hoped to continue this momentum and increase profitability with our Facebook ad results. Since hiring the Chappell Digital marketing agency, our results have dropped significantly.
What was worse was how much we were paying the agency, which was $5k+ per month. (A flat fee + a % of ad spend) I hoped that for such a significant monthly retainer, we would have seen better results, but the poor results + the high monthly fees resulted in our most considerable losses yet. I guess I am a bit bummed out that we had made money all year which has now been lost after hiring Chappel Digital Marketing.
I am sure Chase Chappel and his team can get results for other clients but not us. I would be cautious and not be fooled by the great ROAs shown all over TikTok as this will most likely be for their top-performing brands but not all of them.
After handing in our 30-day notice, I made arrangements to take our media buying in-house and began the contract with a freelancer. The end date had been confirmed by the agency so I scheduled our freelancer to start on the end date in which I was initially told. I guess my mistake partly, but I did not realize that at the start of the month, I paid the management fee until the end of the month for Chappell Digital Marketing. (I guess they should have mentioned that they scheduled our end date to be a few days after the invoice was paid for the next month of services). Once I brought this to their attention, they did offer to continue the media buying until the end date. Still, given my circumstances, I did not take them up on this offer and was refused the partial refund for which I had paid management for and did not receive.
All in all, it was a negative experience, but the one positive thing is their communication is always prompt, which isn't so common with agencies these days.”
