Excellent anti-cheating. We didn't realize how many cheaters we were letting through. Big waste of time at the next round.

I'd definitely "recommend to colleagues". Not hard to see why it's smooth. They put VS code in a browser and added a box. Braindead simple.

I wish there were a way to increase the question difficulty if a candidate is doing really well. Other than that, basically perfect.

We were trying to scal up our hiring, but we couldn't find a question everyone agreed on. The interface let us set up a few question types, and rotate between them depending on the interviewer. We'll definitely keep using them.

Very intuitive system for tech interviews. We have been happy with it for more than 6mo now.

Surprised it's so clean. We tried a bunch of other solutions and it would work most of the time, but there would be a weird bug once in a while and it was really frustrating. Not sure what this company / the others are doing differently. We're definitely going to stick with it.

A+ platform for software engineering interviews

It's an excellent way to evaluate the technical skills we're looking for (NLP). We pre-load the box with a dataset and candidate never needs to download, install, get the right version of tensorflow...it's all there and they start answering the question immediately.

I've never had any major con with VS Code, so it works extremely well for interviews. When candidate wants to use vim/neovim, they can too.

I liked that they've got an enormous library of questions. We had a few good algorithmic questions, but we struggled to come up with a better real-world question. Took one off the shelf and it's better than what we've been asking for years.

Love the autocomplete feature. We do a lot of interviewing in java and it's super important for that.

I want to randomize questions so it's not definite which a candidate will get and the candidate cannot find out the answer from a friend in advance. This is my point for improvement.

They fail to promote their product as much as it should, considering how much better it is. I am a little unhappy it took us a six months with a worse competitor to learn of their existence and switch. Buy some google ads dummies!

The thing that I found most helpful was the comprehensive way of evaluation which let you see exactly what the candidate had done, including their works in the terminal. Very important for our question type (compilers).

Product is good at making sure that there isn't any illicit activity. Also, it has a superior set of baked-in questions. Very good.

The problems already in the product are high quality. I want to know how many times they have been used.
