“Texas has something called “power to choose“ which allows electricity users to select their own providers. But the greedy bastards at CoServ refuse to allow their customers to choose another provider. instead, everyone in their service area is forced, without choice, to use CoServ whether they like it or not. This year, CoServ increased their monthly “connect fee” by 150%! Some other providers charge no fee at all. Some providers charge less for electricity than CoServ. BUT COSERV CUSTOMERS HAVE NO CHOICE! As if that weren’t bad enough, CoServ charges less the more you use. So they literally give to the rich and take from the poor. All the filthy rich millionaires and billionaires living in their monstrously huge mansions pay less for electricity than everyone else. That’s how CoServ runs their business. Screwing all their typical customers while helping their filthy rich friends.”

They sent the bill, and I already moved this place months ago, and they said that you did not cancel the service. If I moved, there is no reason I would keep Coserv. The issue at their end is how we are supposed to control them. They can not find any record you have called. You have to pay your bill otherwise they will send your bill to a collection company.”
“We need to boycott Coserv because every time I get a bill even when I'm not using hot water or the heat, my bill is through the roof. After I made a payment towards my bill ($50), Coserv added the $50 dollars back to my account making the bill come out as $374 for April plus May's bill which is $455.60 summing up to $830.60. We barely use the heat and hot water because it hasn't been cold enough to use it. This is ridiculous. I do believe that I'm being targeted because once again like I stated in other reviews, Coserv is working with the racist property manager and landlord to make sure to get as much money as they can out of me and other people like me and it needs to stop. I don't want to hear anything from them because I'm sick of it. I feel like the whole company is stealing money and it needs to be looked into ASAP!”
“Do not move to any house or apartment that uses co serve. I’ve been sent 2 bills in 1 month. On numerous occasions. I have complained. I will have to move because the electric bill is too high. I live in a 1 bedroom apt. 244.00. No one lives with me. I never had an electric company leave such a bad taste in my mouth.”

Since I moved in four years ago, their rate has gone up almost 50%!!! It’s now 13¢ per kilowatt, which is outrageous. As if that wasn’t bad enough, add $10 per month just to be connected.
It would be a real shame if something bad happened to the people who run CoServ. A real shame.”
“CoServ is trash! I’ve been with them for 5+ years and have transferred services three times with them. I have been charged a deposit for every transfer which is determined by a credit report (hard inquiry) and looking at your payment history. Like most middle class citizens, I have fallen behind on payment so now, I won’t be able to receive my deposit back or at least applied to a bill since they ONLY apply it to the last bill.
Asked to speak with a supervisor and the same rep stayed on the phone .. guess supervisors are too busy to speak with upset customers!
As soon as another electric company is available in my area, I will be leaving CoServ.”
“I never have problems with this utility company that I have had in the past with other organizations. I've never had an outage (yet) and customer service is local, friendly, and detailed in their explanation of services and billing.”
