Since this was a surprise, I had to get a little crafty with size purchase. I knew my brothers pant size (38w) and I knew my dad had gotten a sport utility kilt in a large (he\u2019d actually taken measurements for his) and my dad\u2019s pant size is a 34w. Based on other reviews about your wonderful customer service and exchange policy I ordered the XL. I needn\u2019t have worried it fits him beautifully and he loves it! "
