“When I placed the order through PayPal, David refunded it before contacting my wife to say I needed to send him the money a different way because PayPal are holding his funds for 28 days.
This immediately made me suspicious as an established business would not have funds held unless they had ongoing disputes.
Reluctantly I sent the money again so it would not be held up and the order could proceed immediately, we were told it would be a maximum of 3 weeks for delivery. Since then nothing has happened with our build, David has been promising us pictures of our completed vivarium for weeks and then goes quiet.
Every time I contact him my emails are ignored and he will only respond to my wife through Instagram where the excuse changes each time as to why our order has not been completed.
Some messages he claims our order is ready then in the next he says he will be finishing it next week, he never gives a straight answer when our order will be complete or what the current status is.
David has known since we placed the order that our beardie is in boarding until the vivarium is completed, and we found out a week ago that he has gone abroad and put our order on hold until he returns, which he said would be 30th September, today he is saying he is away until 7th October and he does not care about our order or our money.
Every time we ask for a refund he either says he will not provide a refund - but will not tell us if or when we will actually receive the vivarium from him, or he says he will provide a refund but then does not give one.
David is a very dishonest person, the way he deals with his customers is exactly how he dealt with HMRC when he was caught smuggling in 2015; giving half answers or no answer at all in the hopes you will go away.
Beware of buying from David. If anything goes wrong he blames you and if a more expensive order comes along he will prioritise them over you putting your order on hold and leaving the country without so much as letting you know that your order is not as important to him...
He repeatedly changes his story on how many people work for him, last week it was one, earlier today it was 4 and the latest is 5 people working for him, all of them out of the country so unable to provide us with the photos promised 3 weeks ago.
You send threatening messages elsewhere saying you won't refund me and threatening to take me to court.
We issued you with an ultimatum to provide the photographs you had been promising for over two weeks or we would start a dispute with PayPal. You agreed that photographs would be sent on Sunday 27th September, no photographs were sent and you did not respond to any emails until after the dispute was raised with PayPal.
I have not provided false information and I'm happy to share the entire Instagram chat history with the world for all your customers to see just how untrustworthy you are.
I have already contacted PayPal with your threat.
I did read the full court transcript, it was hardly digging in to your past, I was searching for an address in case I needed to issue court proceedings, searching for your name the second result was your HMRC tribunal and the way the HMRC officer described your communication with them is exactly how you have been with my wife: half truths, avoiding answers and downright lies.
Every time you post it's a different story, you told her that you had 50 orders + private installations, now it's 30 orders. You have 1 member of staff, or is it 4, or even 5?”
