“I just discovered Duncraft Wildbird Store this past week. I signed up for a 10% discount and have received eight marketing emails within the last 48 hours!!”
“I received my order this week, and found it of high quality and professionally packed. Was able to get free shipping with the promo code displayed on the website - which I never would have made the purchase without, as they wanted $28 for 'economy shipping' which I thought was outrageous. I will purchase from them again, but only if I'm able to get a better deal on shipping. They do have many unique items. And stop complaining about 'the grackels can still get in the bluebird feeder" - They are wild animals that are hungry too - Get over it! Duncraft has no control over this.”
“Contacted live chat and spoke to Heidi, the customer service manager. Asked about a pole that would support a bluebird house that I was about to purchase. After talking to Heidi the expensive pole was purchased. Upon delivery it was clear that it was incompatible. Called Duncraft and talked to Jeff after pole was delivered and obviously not compatible with the bird house. He said he would have to forward to Heidi to check to see what was discussed. I was then told by Jeff that all bird houses would have to be modified to accommodate the pole by drilling holes into the bird house. This modification was NEVER mentioned as I would have not made the purchase. When I asked about returning the expensive heavy duty pole due to their failure to disclose how the bird house would have to be modified I was told, sure you can return it at your expense. I am a long term customer and due to this experience and lack of disclosure I will NEVER purchase anything from this company in the future. Customer satisfaction is NOT one of their guiding principles and lack of guidance to customer requests when specifically asked about installation and I trusted their expertise is more than disappointing. Zero stars for this company. Now I get to pay for a return that never should have been suggested or sold to me to meet my needs. Why can’t you rate customer service? 1 POOR! Will not allow you to select an option. Sad that a family run business doesn’t value their loyal customers.”
“I could not get the website to work to place an order, which was well over $100. I emailed their customer service which did reply some time the next day. The reply was snippy, unhelpful, and condescending. The "Customer Service Rep" said 1) that I tried to use an expired promo code. I replied that it wasn't expired when I tried to use it, that, in fact, I had tried to use it immediately after I had received an email from them containing it; 2) suggested that perhaps I hadn't entered the information correctly; 3) suggested that I try a different browser; 4) suggested that I call them, during office hours only, to place the order.
This young man - his name was Jeff - took no responsibility for the fact that I - a customer for at least 15 years - had problems and then proceeded to imply that I was probably a cheating crook and/or an incompetent newbie on the net. Duncraft just lost a once good customer. I quickly discovered that I could get everything I wanted from Chewy.com - which I already use for cat food and supplies and which has fabulous and friendly customer service and delivered very quickly. The only thing I can say for "Jeff" is that, at least, he didn't accuse me of trying to attract birds so that my cats could eat them!”
“I had been looking for a particular waterer and couldn't find it anywhere. I found it online at Duncraft. The order came quickly and I love the product.”
