"Company number 10217670 This company cold-calls the owners of domestic solar panels, whose addresses and contact details they have presumably bought, in the hope that the systems have some fault, or that they were mis-sold. 50% of their business is tackling mis-selling, the rest is getting large deposits for long-term future maintenance contracts that have dubious validity. The Corporate HQ is in a small shop situated beside a tattoo parlour in Newton Le Willows. Of course they have a website too: which proudly states that: Energy Watchdog is a UK eneterprise (sic) . I always love the spelling howlers ... read them for yourself on http://energy-watchdog.com Less than two years old, the Company already has a striking-off letter from Companies House, which can be read here: http://companydb.uk/10217670-energy-watchdog-limited#.Wqqn3mrFLIV Would you pay £3,000 upfront for a 15 year service plan for your solar panels including all maintenance, annual checks, and replacement of faulty parts, from a Company you had never heard of that was established less than two years ago? That's the less than mouthwatering offering from Energy Watchdog Limited. Company number 10217670 Address, 2 Cross Lane, Newton Le Willows, WA12 9QE Sole director Miss Tracey Murphy dob March 1983 Basically you are being asked to pay twice the rate for the job, on the back of a promise of future service that is not worth the paper it is written on! I'm amazed that anyone would even consider this 'deal', considering the volatility of this industry. You are giving Tracey - who has no previous history as a company director - an unsecured loan of £2,000, on the basis of a promise."
