“This may not be a typical review, but I wanted to mention that I had unusual remote problem. The screen on my remote turn completely white. I thought there was something on the motherboard but after sending it in I found out it was just another screen which I have replaced many times. The screen's on the remote for the Evolve GTR is very delicate. The remote was fixed quickly and returned promptly. However My biggest concern is that the way this remote was made had a design flaw. And I am of the opinion that once a customer supports the product, you take care of that customer. However, what I experienced instead was the remote screen, the diagnosis, and the shipping to and from the service center all fall on me. The workmanship is top notch but the design flaw is not my fault. I wish they did more for supporters new and old. So three stars takes in the consideration that the workmanship was great, shipping was fast, but I personally don't think evolve is supporting their customers enough. Obviously their opinion is different but I wanted to share mine.”
“When I bought the hadean I didn't know anything about it, I bought it because of the advertisements on social networks, but today I can see and realize that it's not worth the 2400 that is asked for it, there are boards in the market for that price with much more quality, more life that I've followed”
“The Evolve Stoke is a great board with terrible build quality. I have been using it for a little bit over a year now and have encountered many issues making me spend $500+ on repairs in total. Screws would routinely fall out of the motor assembly requiring me to get a new set of screws and replace the motor assembly entirely, when I asked Evolve about this they told me I was supposed to take all the screws out and Loctite them right after purchasing the board. Another major issue I had was with the controllers. I have been through three controllers now. The first controller malfunctioned and forced the board into full throttle while I was riding it without being able to stop it sending it right by a group of people, almost hitting them. I could only stop the board by physically turning the board off. After asking Evolve about this, they told me they could only help if I sent in the board which I couldn't do as it is my primary form of transportation on my college campus. The second controller broke after a couple of months (Never dropped it, had a case on it). The springs inside the controller assembly lost their position inside the controller making the controller extremely hard to use. I ended up getting their newest controller for 200 dollars which has had no physical problems so far but every once in a while the entire controller will freeze and won't reset until you put it on the charger.
Overall, the Evolve Stoke is a fun board with great dynamics, but with all of the potentially dangerous issues that I have encountered and Evolve's lack of help with my issues, I will be purchasing my next board from a different company.”
