“Faremart is an absolute failure of a travel agency. I booked an international ticket through them in March, as the COVID crisis occured and universities were making students go home. Im an international student with no relatives in the US, so it was a terrifying experience. My flight ticket was cancelled the day of the flight (after i'd checked in online), and i was stranded with nowhere to stay. Faremart tried to blame me at first, saying that i cancelled the ticket myself. Obviously there was no evidence of this.Then they tried to blame the airline, which also had no evidence of this. And now theyre blaming some random flight agency they say they booked the ticket through and never got a refund from, and theyre trying to make me talk to this agency ive never interacted with before and ask them for my money back. I paid faremart on time and did absolutely everything i possibly could, and theyve treated me horribly. Now when i try to send them e-mails, i keep getting notifications that my email bounced back despite using the customer service address we've spoken on multiple times. They have given me a refund confirmation twice now, then gone back on their word both times citing the reason being that they did not recieve the refund.
I dont care about whether or not they got the money. Iman international student who works 3 minimum wage jobs and lives 6,000 miles away from her home and family, all in the effort for getting an education and building a life for myself, and they decided that I am the perfect person to take advantage of. Im not asking for a refund because i just wanna give them trouble, im asking for a refund because i literally need that money to survive and feed myself. I demand my refund and I've had enough of their abuse. If anyone here is or knows an international or indian lawyer, please contact me. I have plenty of fraud evidence against faremart.”
