“BE AWARE of Fleetmatics rushing you into signing contracts after telling you that you will have to upgrade your units! Our company had been a customer of Fleetmatics and our contract had several months left on the units that they claimed that we had to upgrade or lose service. I asked our Fleetmatics representative the up grade would remain on the same contract as we were considering reviewing the contract prior to the renewal date. We were assured that the new units would take the place of the units they were upgrading and would remain on the original contract in the place of the units they would be replacing and not be renewed until the old units came up for renewal they replaced came due. The representative insisted that would be the way things would work and that for us to keep our service with the replacement units we had to immediately have to get the documents signed to upgrade to the new units and that there would be no change to the present contract but they had to have the signed documents immediately so that we could have the replacement units installed the coming weekend. In a rush the document were signed and returned. When we received our next billing it was found that they had created new contracts on the replacement units and instead of putting the new units on the current contract as actual replacements and letting the new units run the old contract out as requested. So now we are paying for the replacement units under a new contract for an additional 3 years. This is not a company that we will in any way ever endorse in any way as they will tell you one thing on the phone and then do another when while knowing what they are telling you on the phone is not what they are really going to honor. The company should honor their verbal agreements. So BEWARE of this company as they practice the old dishonorable practice of "bait and switch"”
