“I have been following you on YouTube for quite a while and always enjoy listening to you. I have been flying for about 3 years and I try to get as much of theoretical knowledge as I can to be better prepared. I think for me the best resources are real life examples. Especially in difficult situations.
In the email you asked if I learnt anything and this is very hard to answer. I picked a few tips here and there and mostly just refreshed my knowledge on various topics. I didn't find much more in the videos that I didn't know already and I think I would have preferred the videos to be more concise getting to the point quicker. Overall I enjoyed the courses.
on the website I would like to see a page where I can see all videos so I can find easily what I didn't watch yet. going into sections and then expanding then with show more at the bottom was tedious after a while.
I missed your presence on the forums. Random ppl answered some of my questions but I was never fully satisfied with the answers and I also don't know the ppl and their expertise so hard to trust in answers like that.
if the membership was cheaper I would probably keep it but it is quite expensive for us outside UK.”
Thanks Pawel!
I'm glad you enjoyed the courses.
I would also like to have an easy 'overview' of everything, but it's difficult to present this with over 400 training videos, so I divide them into sections to offer a level-by-level structure.
Did you perhaps miss the detailed debrief video I made for you on your beach landing setup? https://flywithgreg.com/programs/landing-hook
It takes me some time to produce and schedule these kind of detailed responses so I rely on my excellent coaches to offer insights in the chatroom first. I appreciate that it would be nice to have me answering everything but I believe it's more valuable to have various pilots participate in finding the answers, it develops critical thinking for everyone. I correct the mistakes.
I do take your point about concise videos - some are designed to be short and factual, but part of why my system works is the exposure to 'real time flying demonstrations' that develop slowly and help pilots build familiarity with the environments I'm teaching about. I also repeat things (in different ways) to cover pilots who just pick and choose videos instead of following the step-by-step numbering system of skills progression. So your experience will vary depending on how you use the website.
Thanks for your support, and I wish you safe flying!
